Acting on doctor's orders, Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Barry Manilow has postponed all his upcoming arena concerts, including one scheduled for Monday at UBS Arena in Elmont, according to an email sent to ticket holders on Wednesday. Rescheduled dates were not announced.

"The Manilow arena concert performances scheduled for April will now be rescheduled to a later date due to doctor's orders," the email began. "We know this is not the news you were expecting, especially with the shows so close, but we truly appreciate your understanding. We will update you as soon as the rescheduled dates become available."

This is the third time since December, when Manilow was diagnosed with lung cancer, that he's had to postpone his concerts. Shortly after the diagnosis, he had surgery to remove a cancerous spot in his left lung, forcing him to postpone all of his January concerts as he recuperated. In February, the 82-year-old music icon announced on social media that he had to reschedule his Feb. 27-March 17 show dates as his recovery continued.

In March, Manilow announced "What a Time," his first studio album in 15 years, will be released on June 5.
