Country music superstar Chris Stapleton has added a stop at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater to his ongoing tour this summer.
Stapleton and opening act Carter Faith will play Aug. 26 at the Wantagh venue. Several ticket presales will begin Tuesday at 10 a.m. and the general onsale will start Jan. 16 at 10 a.m. at chrisstapleton.com.
The local date is one of more than 20 Stapleton is adding to his “All-American Road Show” tour, which has sold out nine performances through the early months of this year.
The move comes as Stapleton, 47, r heads into next month’s Grammy Awards with four nominations, including Best Country Song for “A Song to Sing” (with Miranda Lambert) and Best Country Solo Performance for “Bad as I Used to Be,” which is featured in the film “F1.” Those singles, plus a guest spot on George Strait’s 2024 song “Honky Tonk Hall of Fame,” have helped keep Stapleton on the public’s playlists even though he hasn’t released a studio album since 2023’s “Higher,” which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard album chart.
Faith, a relatively recent arrival to the country music scene, graduated from the private Christian college Belmont University in 2021, signed with Universal’s Nashville, Tennesee, imprint in 2022 and released her debut album, “Cherry Valley,” last fall. Faith is also an actor who will appear in “The Savant,” Jessica Chastain’s crime-thriller miniseries for Apple TV, according to Deadline.
