Halloween is coming fast and furious causing seasonal happenings to arise from every corner of Long Island. Here are three pop-up experiences to hit throughout Nassau and Suffolk.

'FRIGHT NIGHT FRIGHTS & BITES'

The Edgewood on the Green, 600 Long Island Ave., Brentwood

Dine and slash during the new "Friday Night Frights & Bites" at The Edgewood on the Green in Brentwood where horror fans can watch a slasher film while enjoying a dinner and dessert buffet. The event will be held on Oct. 9, 16, 23 and 30 for guests aged 17 and older.

Catch "Friday the 13th" (2009 version) on Oct. 9, "A Nightmare on Elm Street" (2010 version) on Oct. 16, "Scream" (1996) on Oct. 23 and "Halloween" (2018 version) on Oct. 30. Each film will be projected on an 8x15 screen with seating for 75 in communal rows of tables and chairs.

"These are the scary series that have stood the test of time," Michael Marra, president of Unique Social Events, says. "Jason Vorhees [ "Friday the 13th"], Freddy Krueger [ "A Nightmare on Elm Street"], Ghostface [ "Scream"] and Michael Myers [ "Halloween"] make up the Mount Rushmore of horror films."

Each night will have a surprise guest appearance by a killer character from the film being shown who will pose for selfies.

WHEN 6 p.m., Oct. 9 — "Friday the 13th" (2009 version), Oct. 16 — "A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010 version), Oct. 23 — "Scream" (1996) and Oct. 30 — "Halloween" (2018 version); each film starts between 6:30-7 p.m.

'JACK’S NIGHTMARE'

Alibi Lounge, 230 Main St., Farmingdale

Look out for the return of Jack Skellington, the king of Halloween Town, during "Jack’s Nightmare" at Alibi Lounge in Farmingdale Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays Sept. 26 through Nov. 1. This immersive Halloween experience is inspired by the Tim Burton film, "The Nightmare Before Christmas." The 18 and over event, which holds 30 people per seating, offers weekend matinee times for kids.

"Jack will perform two songs, ‘What’s This?’ and ‘This is Halloween’ from the film as well as provide face-to-face interactions and opportunities for photos," Marra says. "The entire bar will have a dark ambiance with orange and purple hue lighting plus animatronic character props hanging from the ceiling."

The tapas menu contains mac-n-cheese bites, vodka meatball sliders, soft pretzels with mustard and cheese, Jack’s Caviar Dip (hummus spread with a chickpea and black-bean base served with tortilla chips or pita bread) as well as pulled pork sliders with crispy fried onions. Food and drink prices were not yet available. 

Don’t miss desserts such as pumpkin cheesecake, fried Oreos, rainbow cake or the cotton candy sundae (vanilla ice cream topped with cotton candy).

Each attendees can take home a souvenir stadium cup containing a mosaic print of the different faces of Mr. Skellington.

'WITCHCRAFT'

Bull Smith’s Tavern, 155 W. Main St., Smithtown

Fans of the Disney film, "Hocus Pocus," can join the fun during the "Witchcraft" pop-up at Bull Smith’s Tavern  Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Oct. 3 through Nov. 1. The all-ages experience, which holds 50 per seating, features the sister witches of Sarah, Mary and Winifred Sanderson.

"We are making this event more intimate this year where the witches will be mingling in between each table of guests," Marra says. "They will perform two songs, ‘The Witches are Back’ and ‘I Put a Spell on You’ then take selfies with a backdrop of Old Burial Hill Cemetery from the film."

The menu is currently being built but a movie-themed cocktail list is set to include The Binx Black Cat (tequila, mescal, lime juice, black agave syrup with a black salt rim) and The Billy Butcherson (vodka, coffee liqueur, pumpkin puree, espresso plus cookie crumbles). Prices were not immediately available. 

The decor includes black drapes with orange and purple Halloween uplighting plus props from the movie like the Spellbook (signed by the cast) and Mary’s old school Oreck vacuum.

A plastic stadium cup with a mosaic pattern containing colored silhouettes of the witches’ hairstyles will be distributed to each attendee.
