Fore & Pour is teeing up in West Babylon. The indoor golf lounge and bar is coming to the Great South Bay shopping center this fall.
The 7,000-square-foot venue on Montauk Highway will have more than 20 TV screens, eight golf simulators, a 41-foot bar with stools for 19 and a dining area with seating for 36, according to co-owner Will Bergersen. The projected opening is October, Bergersen said.
"We want people of all ages, all demographics to come in, share their love for the sport of golf or learn how to play golf, or even if you’re not a golfer, just have some fun with friends and grab some food and drinks," Bergersen said.
The menu will focus on handhelds and quick-service foods, such as chicken club sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, pretzels, wings and mozzarella sticks. They plan on collaborating with neighboring Alitalia Pizzeria & Restaurant to offer personal pizzas.
Fore & Pour will have eight beers on tap, four rotating seasonally and four staples. For cocktails, guests will be able to order Manhattans, cosmopolitans, martinis and dirty martinis.
"We’re going to get pretty creative with some of the names on the menu," Bergersen said. "We’ll have a lot of homage to golf courses around Long Island," and the decor will aim for a "warm clubhouse" feel, with brown and emerald tones and Art Deco lighting fixtures.
