Can frozen yogurt be chic? Roslyn’s new Greek yogurt-based Froyo spot, Ilios Froyo, is trying to make it so. Husband-and-wife owners Sophia and Andrew Quintero opened the space on Old Northern Boulevard last month. The family-run spot feels polished and modern, with warm ivory and beige tones, wood accents and light stones on the flooring and counters. The decor includes cream-colored chairs and olive trees, a nod to Sophia’s Greek heritage.

She said they also give the space a European feel by blasting some music. "It feels like you’re in a club; it's like a social gathering," she said. "That was my inspiration for the aesthetics. It was clean, simple and making it feel like you were there."

Ilios serves strictly Greek yogurt-based Froyo. They mix kefir in the yogurt and sweeten their recipes with organic cane sugar to give it a tang and just the right amount of sweetness.

There are six flavors on the menu, three of which rotate monthly. Flavors include the organic original tart, raspberry and organic vanilla bean. Toppings include fresh fruits like honeydew, golden mango and fig. Dry toppings include sprinkles, granola, chocolate chips and cookie dough. Ilios also offers toppings served warm, like the pistachio kanafe, Nutella and Biscoff cookie butter.

The shop is currently open from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday.
