11 Long Island restaurants open on Thanksgiving 2025

The task of cooking a whole spread for Thanksgiving can be too much for some. Whether you want to change a longtime tradition or just want to take the stress out of the feast, these restaurants are serving standout special menus on Nov. 27. Reservations are suggested.

70 Main St., Mineola
Set within the historic Davenport building on Main Street, the restaurant is offering a three-course $75.95 prix-fixe meal ($39.95 ages 10 and younger) from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Starters include baked clams, turkey soup and stuffed mushrooms. Entrees include roast turkey with chestnut stuffing as well as classic shrimp scampi, chicken parmigiana with linguine and potato-crusted branzino. At this top Italian restaurant, chef Jesse Schenker's a la carte menu runs from noon to 8 p.m. with dishes such as mushroom lasagna ($28). Roslyn’s Thyme is offering a three-course prix-fixe menu for $96 from 1 to 8 p.m. Starters include butternut squash soup with cinnamon cream or baked Brie with apple, grapes and raspberry coulis. Roasted turkey will be served with herb stuffing, haricot verts, cinnamon-scented sweets and cranberry-pecan chutney. Thyme will also offer Long Island duck breast or prime rib of beef. A children’s menu ($39 for age 10 and younger) includes three-cheese mac-and-cheese as well as chicken fingers with french fries. This catering hall is hosting seatings every 30 minutes from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a $62.95 prix-fixe buffet ($32.95 ages 2 to 12) that must be paid in advance. A carving station will have roasted turkey, cranberry-glazed and slow-cooked ham and roast au jus. There will also be pumpkin and cranberry bread, butternut squash and candied yams. This eatery at Roosevelt Field offers a one-course prix-fixe meal for $44 ($20 age 12 and younger) that includes roast turkey, both white and dark meat, mashed potatoes, brioche and sage stuffing and cranberry relish. Seasons 52 also offers a Green Box To-Go that serves four to six for $230. It features roasted turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, a salad and six pumpkin pie-inspired desserts. Seatings begin at noon for Thanksgiving meals at this elegant Northport bar-restaurant. Besides the regular a la carte menu from chef Antonio Guillen, a Thanksgiving special ($48) includes traditional turkey breast, gravy, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, homemade cranberry sauce and squash. Festive cocktails abound, from a pumpkin espresso martini, apple cider mimosas and spiced pear martini ($17 each). Desserts include apple crumb, pecan and pumpkin from Torta Fina Bakeshoppe & Patisserie in Babylon ($13 per slice).

Chef-owner Elmer Rubio's Thanksgiving menu goes from 1 to 7 p.m. The three-course $50 prix fixe includes options like roasted Brussels sprouts made with roasted walnuts, blue cheese and a honey mustard vinaigrette, and the Atlantic salmon cake, served with black-eyed pea salad and ancho chili aioli. For the main course choices include turkey breast (with potato puree, cranberry chutney and gravy), broiled flounder or pork tenderloin with acorn squash, turnips, onion hash and demi-glace. This restaurant connected to Hampton Bays’ family-owned hotel, The Hampton Maid, will be open for Thanksgiving. Chef Alex Bujoreanu's prix-fixe menu is $85 ($35 ages 12 and younger) from 2 to 7 p.m. Start with lobster pumpkin bisque with crème fraîche and pumpkin seeds or house-made meatballs in tomato sauce with manchego cheese and grilled bread. Entrees are a traditional roasted turkey with sides, or duck breast with crispy spinach polenta and roasted pears. A plant-based option is mushroom pasta, while seafood-lovers might go for Paella Demarisco" with calamari, mussels, shrimp and clams. For dessert: almond cake served with fresh berries.

The new restaurant at Gurney’s will be open for regular lunch service from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 3:30 to 9 p.m. for dinner on the holiday. Guests can order from the three-course prix fixe menu for $140 ($45 age 12 and younger). Starters are butternut squash soup with toasted pepitas, crème fraîche and nutmeg, or shrimp cocktail.
