The Library will present a talk by historian and author Richard Wines about the history of the local agricultural community as featured in his new book, “A Farm Family on Long Island’s North Fork: The Lost World of the Hallocks and Their Sound Avenue Community.” In his book, “A Farm Family on Long Island’s North Fork,” Wines traces the history of the vital North Fork Sound Avenue agricultural community through the story of the last family to live in the old Homestead at Hallockville.
