Suffolk police seek public's help in finding woman suspected in Jamesport murder
Suffolk County detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating a woman who they say fatally stabbed a Jamesport man in his home last year.
Following an investigation, police said that around 11:43 p.m. on March 4, 2024, Majorie Quarrie, also known as Nicola Watson, allegedly stabbed Conrad Gowan, 36, in the neck at his Herricks Lane residence.
Soon after, Riverhead Town police responded to a 911 call to the house, which is on the same property as North Fork Nursery, Newsday previously reported.
When officers arrived, they found Gowan in his home.
Gowan was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Police said they issued a warrant for Quarrie, aka Watson, who faces a charge of second-degree murder.
Quarrie/Watson is known to frequently change her appearance, including using wigs, police said.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offer a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
Anyone with information about these incidents can submit anonymous tips by calling 800-220-TIPS.
