An 80-year-old man, struck by a car last week as he walked along Lower Lincoln Avenue, in Oceanside, has died, Nassau County Police said Monday.

Roosevelt Williams, of Baldwin, died early Sunday at the hospital where he was taken in critical condition following the crash at 9:47 p.m. Thursday.

Police said Williams was hit by a southbound 2019 Porsche SUV driven by a 29-year-old woman. The driver remained at the scene.

She was not injured, police said. Her identity was not released.

Police said Williams was in the roadway at the time but it was unclear if he was attempting to cross the street when hit. Police did not say how fast the Porsche was traveling at the time.

The case is being investigated by Homicide Squad detectives, but it was not clear at this time if police believe criminality is involved.
