Motorcyclist killed in Hempstead Turnpike crash

A 30-year-old man was killed after his motorcycle collided with another vehicle in Levittown on Sunday evening, Nassau police said.
Around 5:51 p.m., a 61-year-old man driving an eastbound 2017 Ford Fusion on Hempstead Turnpike was turning left on Division Avenue when it collided with a westbound 2007 Suzuki motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, whom police did not identify, suffered severe injuries. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver of the Ford, also unidentified, was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
An investigation is ongoing, police said.
