2 hurt after collision sends pole crashing into Syosset nail salon

A two-car crash Tuesday afternoon in Syosset ended with a pole crashing into a storefront and two people transported to a hospital, police said.
Nassau police said the incident occurred at about 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Jackson and Willis avenues. The force of the collision sent one car into a light pole, which careened into the storefront of Harbor Nails, a nail spa at the corner of Jackson and Willis, police said.
Video from the scene showed the front of the building damaged by the impact.
Police said one driver and one person in the store were taken to the hospital. The injuries were described as minor.
No one was charged; police have not released the identities of those involved.
