An Atlantic Beach woman died after being struck by a vehicle in Nantucket, Massachusetts, on June 29, authorities said.

Police found Stacey Rosen, 62, beneath a vehicle that was involved in a two-car crash in the parking lot of the downtown Nantucket Stop & Shop, according to a Nantucket Police Department news release.

On Friday, police charged Kathleen Featherston, 62, of Fairfield, Connecticut, with negligent operation of a motor vehicle and motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation, the release states.

Rosen was transported to Nantucket Cottage Hospital immediately following the crash but died from her injuries, police said in the release.

Nantucket police could not provide any additional information when contacted by Newsday on Sunday.

The Nantucket district attorney's office did not return a call seeking comment on Sunday.

It is unclear if Featherston has an attorney.
