NYPD video shows man being airlifted from Long Island park after he got lost searching for model plane

The NYPD has released video footage of a man being airlifted from a Nassau County park after he got lost while searching for his model airplane.
On Aug. 7 around 2 p.m., Nassau police responded to a call about a 70-year-old man who entered the wooded area near the aerodrome field in Cedar Creek Park in Seaford to retrieve the plane.
According to the video shared on social media, Nassau County police called in the NYPD’s aviation unit to airlift the man.
"We’re going to need to figure out a way to get him out of here," an officer says in the video. "To be totally honest, we’re going to have to hoist him out of here."
The video, which is time stamped at 3 p.m., shows several officers meeting the man, who was conscious and alert, a news release said.
The officers are then shown assisting the man as he is airlifted by a helicopter.
He was taken to a hospital for evaluation, the release said.
