Flights leaving the metropolitan area for San Antonio were priced significantly higher than usual on Thursday morning, some more than $2,000, following the Knicks' Game 4 NBA Finals win on Wednesday.

The Knicks are heading to San Antonio on Saturday to play the Spurs at Frost Bank Center, with tipoff set for 8:30 p.m. Will some Long Islanders be joining them?

One roundtrip economy ticket leaving Thursday and returning Saturday ranged from the upper hundreds to well more than $1,000, and $2,000, according to online flight tracking websites Google Flights and Expedia.

On Google Flights, prices for one roundtrip economy ticket on the route were significantly higher than an average trip, which usually costs between $320 and $465.

If you’re looking to leave on Saturday, or game day, expect to pay more for a less direct route, depending on the airline and departing airport.

Travel times for some flights leaving from MacArthur Airport in Islip on Saturday and arriving in San Antonio in time for travelers to catch the game range from 11 to 13 hours, including a connecting flight, according to Google Flights.

On Expedia, one Southwest Airlines flight departing LaGuardia Airport at 7:05 a.m. Saturday and landing in San Antonio at 11:05 a.m. local time, with one connecting flight, cost $1,244.

An American Airlines flight leaving John F. Kennedy Airport at 11:29 a.m. and arriving at San Antonio by 6:16 p.m., with one connecting stop, was priced at $919.

The cheapest ticket from the area to San Antonio on Saturday and returning Sunday was $824, according to the Expedia website.
