Stop & Shop is offering customers a discount on their next in-store purchase while the grocery chain’s website and mobile app remain offline, its president announced.

As an expression of "our sincere gratitude to our customers for their patience, we are offering all shoppers 10% off their next in-store purchase," Stop & Shop president Roger Wheeler said in a Friday statement emailed to Newsday. The offer is valid through Thursday and can save customers a maximum of $10 off their purchase.

To get the offer, customers must "check in at the Savings Station" kiosk inside their local store, Wheeler said.

Stop & Shop’s parent company, Ahold Delhaize, announced on Monday that it took "some systems offline" out of precaution while its teams took "steps to assess and mitigate the issue" within its network.

"Protecting our infrastructure in the best interest of our customers, associates and partners is a top priority," added the Netherlands-based company, which owns multiple chains in the United States and abroad. "We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused customers and partners."

There is currently "no evidence that any customer data has been impacted" by the cybersecurity incident, according to Wheeler.

Those who prefer to purchase their groceries online can place Stop & Shop orders through DoorDash, Instacart or Uber Eats, the grocery chain said Friday on its shuttered website.

"We are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused by this temporary outage of Stop & Shop's app and website," Wheeler said. "I want to assure everyone that our stores, pharmacies, and fuel stations are open to serve you — and that our team is working around the clock to resolve this as quickly as possible."
