A 64-year-old man is dead after he was struck by a car while crossing the street in Manorville on Wednesday morning, Suffolk County police said.

Thomas Regan, of Manorville, was crossing Route 111, just north of Chapman Boulevard, around 5:40 a.m. when a northbound 2024 Porsche struck him. 

Regan was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. 

Police closed Route 111 shortly after and it was reopened at 10:25 a.m. 

The 58-year-old driver of the Porsche was not injured and the vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives ask anyone with information on the crash to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
