An Oyster Bay woman has been identified as the person found dead in Long Island Sound this week, Suffolk police said Wednesday.

Brittany Kritis-Garip, 32,  was found Monday evening in the water in Lloyd Harbor, Suffolk police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call regarding "a body floating in Long Island Sound off Lloyd Harbor Road" about 7:45 p.m. Suffolk police said in a news release.

The death was found to be non-criminal in nature, police said.
