Southampton Town police said they pulled the body of a man out of Tiana Bay on Sunday afternoon.

Officers with the Marine, Patrol and Community Response units and detectives responded to a call of a body floating in the water about 2:45 p.m. They "located the deceased male in the water," the police said in a news release.

The body has been identified as David Stetler, 38, of Greenport.

Police said no criminality is suspected. Additional information, including how Stetler may have died or ended up in the bay, was not immediately available late Sunday.

Southampton Town police are asking anyone with information to call 631-702-2230 or 631-728-3400.
