How Long Island voted in 2025

Republican incumbent Bruce A. Blakeman defeated Democrat challenger Seth I. Koslow for Nassau County executive, cementing a second term with a 32,000-vote win.
Blakeman received 172,391 or 56% of all votes, while Koslow received 136,598 or 44%. Newsday's county executive election map of unofficial results highlights neighborhoods that were Blakeman strongholds such as Massapequa, Great Neck and Woodmere. Precincts in Glen Cove and Syosset won by Democrat Laura Curran against Blakeman four years ago were swept up by Blakeman this year.

This was Nassau County's first election since legislative districts were redrawn, aiding in Democrats winning the 14th Legislative District, where Cynthia Nuñez beat Republican Sheharyar Ali for an open seat.

Meanwhile, in Suffolk County, Democrats flipped the 1st Legislative District, where Democrat Gregory P. Doroski beat Republican incumbent Catherine L. Stark by 908 votes.
