Serial killer Joel Rifkin's former home in East Meadow may have found a buyer.
Listing agent Marc Kaplan, of Pinpoint Realty, confirmed that the home is under contract. The listing for the home was marked as "pending" this week on housing websites including Zillow, OneKey MLS and Redfin.
"It's a great buyer for the property," he told Newsday on Wednesday. "They're so excited."
The listing will be updated with the ultimate sale price after all parties meet at the closing table.
The four-bedroom, two-bathroom Cape first came to the market in April. Its original list price was $825,000, and was reduced to $799,999 in May before coming down to $780,000 last month.
Rifkin lived there with his family, and murdered some of his victims (who were female sex workers) in the home between 1989 and 1993, he told authorities.
The house is in the East Meadow School District. It is a corner lot, totaling more than 1,600 square feet of living space. The listing mentions a full basement, swimming pool and one-car detached garage.
"We're not looking to focus on Long Island's history," Kaplan told Newsday last month. "You could look at any history and find problems."
The home was last on the market more than two decades ago, closing for $322,000.
