Joy Behar, one of the longtime leading ladies of ABC's "The View," has sold her Sag Harbor home for slightly more than half its original list price.

The deal closed earlier this week, according to its listing on OneKey MLS. After several price reductions, the closing price landed at $5.65 million.

Behar purchased the house in 2016 for $4.75 million, Newsday previously reported. In 2024, she put it on the market for $10.95 million.

The house contains four bedrooms and five bathrooms, spanning 4,500 square feet. The taxes were listed as $26,388.

According to its price history on Realtor.com, the listing saw its first reduction in March 2025, when it dropped to $8.995 million. After a few more price slashes throughout the year, the property was listed for $5.95 million by December, before increasing to $6.995 million in March.

The house was co-listed by Ed Gaetjens and John Wines, of Saunders & Associates.

"We priced it aggressively," Gaetjens said. He explained that the price shot back up toward the end of the process because it "didn't make sense" to keep lowering it, especially considering the high price points of some of the neighboring properties.

Although they didn't get the exact price they wanted, "for us, it was a win," Gaetjens said.

The house has an assortment of Victorian-style details, and the new owner could do some renovation to expand it upward by excavating the basement, Gaetjens added. He also said that the buyer is from Los Angeles.

The home was built in 1903, according to its listing. Notable features include a 250-square-foot wraparound porch, five fireplaces and a spacious backyard pool. There is also a 980-square-foot guest cottage on site.

This part of Sag Harbor is home to more than one notable entertainer: Billy Joel's property is about ¼-mile away.

A representative for Behar could not be reached for comment.

Behar is performing in "Bonkers in the Boroughs" at Sag Harbor's Bay Street Theater, a series of four short, comedic plays she wrote, running through Sunday. She still owns another property in Sag Harbor, Gaetjens said.

"No pun intended: It was a joy to deal with Joy," Gaetjens said. "She was very on top of things, pretty frank with her comments and we definitely had a lot of laughs with her."
