"To the right, you're looking at all of Huntington Harbor," said Leonard, of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty. "You're looking at Coindre Hall, you're looking at boats going in and out of the harbor."

Pan to the left, Leonard said, and the Huntington Harbor Lighthouse is "literally right there."

The five-bedroom house with gated entry is on the market for $10.5 million. Taxes on the 2.1-acre property, which falls within the Cold Spring Harbor Central School District, total $64,422.

"On a clear day, you can look out over Asharoken and Eaton's Neck and see Connecticut," Leonard said.

The house has five full and two half-bathrooms, an indoor saltwater pool and a sauna, Leonard said. There is also a home gym and a three-car garage with lifts, according to the listing.

"The prior owners built this home, custom built," Leonard said. "It's like a fortress."

Property records available to Newsday did not confirm the build year and square footage of the home.

In addition to a whole-house generator, the house has a geothermal heating system, Leonard said.

"Each ceiling has been crafted with artistry," she said. "When you walk in, you're just taken by all of the moldings and lighting and ceilings."

Outside, the property includes an area of beachfront, Leonard added.

Prospective buyers who have seen the home so far have told Leonard the photos did not do it justice, she said. When she went for the first time, she was surprised, too.

"I very surprised at how elegant it was," she said. "And I couldn't get over the view."
