The comedian purchased his home in 2014 for $2.44 million, Newsday reported. C.K. restored the home, which is known as Primrose Cottage, over the course of a decade.

The Tudor-style home totals 4,957 square feet, featuring six bedrooms and 4½ bathrooms. It sits on a 2.02-acre lot. The taxes were listed as $22,697.

The house was built in 1901 to be used by President William McKinley, who did not see it before he died, according to documentation by the Shelter Island History Museum.
