Mets to place Mark Vientos on injured list with fractured right hand

The Mets are placing Mark Vientos on the injured list after the infielder suffered a fractured right hand during Thursday's 7-3 win over the Royals at Citi Field, interim manager Andy Green said.
Vientos was hit on the right hand by a 92.2 mph Michael Wacha sinker in the bottom of the second inning. He stayed in the game but did not come back out for the top of the third inning.
Vientos has hit just .211 with an .256 on-base percentage, a .388 slugging percentage and 11 home runs through 73 games.
