One of the steadiest arms from the Yankees 2025 bullpen will return next season, and one of the most unreliable — mainly because of injury — will not.

The Yankees announced on Wednesday that they had exercised their 2026 club option for lefthander Tim Hill, at a salary of $2.85 million, and declined their 2026 club option for righty Jonathan Loáisiga.

Neither move was a surprise.

The 35-year-old Hill, who spent the majority of the season as the bullpen’s lone lefty arm, was a bargain at the same $2.85 million salary, posting a 3.09 ERA in 70 games.

Loaisiga, meanwhile, simply was unable to stay consistently healthy in his Yankees career. The hard-throwing 30-year-old, whose 2025 season was limited to just 30 games because of a back issue and, later, a right flexor strain, posted a 4.25 ERA. He had been with the Yankees organization since 2016, appearing in a career-high 57 games in 2021.
