The Knicks signed restricted free-agent center Moussa Cisse to a two-year offer sheet Saturday to attempt to solidify the team’s interior defense, according to a league source.

The Mavericks have until 11:59 p.m. Monday to match the offer.

Cisse played on a two-way contract with Dallas as a rookie last season, appearing in 38 games and averaging 4.5 points and 5.7 rebounds in 13.9 minutes per game. He had 17 points and 20 rebounds — 10 offensive — in the Mavericks’ final game of the season and had 15 points and nine rebounds in January at Madison Square Garden.

Cisse moved to the United States at age 14 and started his high school career at St. Benedict’s Prep in New Jersey before transferring to Christ the King in Queens.

Dallas has four centers, but the offer sheet is for only a league-minimum deal, which would make it an easy decision to match. One of the contracts could be dealt for another asset.
