New York Giants co-owner and film producer Steve Tisch, 76, exchanged a number of emails with accused child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, including discussions about different women Epstein introduced to Tisch and he then allegedly met, according to the latest trove of files released by the U.S. Department of Justice.

The records do not clearly show whether Tisch ever went to a private, 70-acre Caribbean island Epstein owned or interacted with a minor.

Tisch, in a statement late Friday, said he associated with Epstein for a time but now regretted it.

"We had a brief association where we exchanged emails about adult women, and in addition, we discussed movies, philanthropy, and investments," Tisch said. "I did not take him up on any of his invitations and never went to his island. As we all know now, he was a terrible person and someone I deeply regret associating with."

The Athletic first reported the existence of the records between Tisch and Epstein.

Tisch has been a co-owner of the Giants since 2005. He is an active presence with the team, including recently flying John Harbaugh in his private airplane as the team recruited the Super Bowl champion head coach.

The Justice Department released the files containing the email to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed into law by President Donald Trump on Nov. 19, 2025. The law directed the Justice Department to release all documents related to the prosecution and investigation of Epstein.

Federal prosecutors in Manhattan charged Epstein with sex trafficking of minors in 2019.

The Department of Justice "Epstein Library" returns 440 results for a search of "steve tisch," which is not necessarily exclusive to the Giants co-owner. In many instances, one result could be the same as several others, but show a different snapshot of the email thread. There are 13 results for emails that are linked to Tisch’s apparent email address, "Gumptower"; Tisch produced the renowned movie Forrest Gump.

On a Friday in April 2013, Tisch emailed Epstein from his cellphone about a "very sweet girl" with whom he just had lunch and earlier in the week had "met at your house."

Epstein said he didn’t know anything about her but he would ask, "all confidential." He goes on to ask Tisch whether he contacted a person he describes by her body features.

Later that evening, Tisch responded to Epstein. "Curious to know about [redacted]," he said, in an email with the subject line, "Ukrainian Girl." He added, "pro or civilian?"

The following day, Epstein told Tisch: "Report just in ... You did very well."

"She is a little freaked by the age difference, but go slow and wait," Epstein told Tisch, who would have been about 63 at the time. "I will try to convince her not to return to Ukraine ... having her crying worked."

In June 2013, Epstein told Tisch his schedule and said he would be "on the island after that, come visit."

Later that month, Tisch emailed Epstein at nearly 2 a.m., "I met [redacted] ... she is adorable." Epstein responded, "glad to help."

Epstein was found dead in a Manhattan federal jail cell on Aug. 10, 2019, while awaiting trial. Authorities later ruled it a suicide. He faced up to 45 years in prison for crimes related to the sex trafficking of minors.
