NBA superstar Stephen Curry of Golden State will be on Long Island next week. Curry, however, won’t be shooting three-pointers.
Curry will be at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale hosting the Underrated Golf Tour, which is bringing its season-ending Curry Cup Championship event to Long Island. The event will run from Sept. 15-17.
The event is not open to the public.
The Underrated Golf Tour is a junior golf circuit created by Curry in 2022. According to the tour’s website, the mission of the tour is to make “golf more inclusive by broadening access to competitive golf for individuals of all backgrounds, including those who have demonstrated leadership on and off the golf course and have overcome personal adversity and family hardship.” The circuit is for youth golfers ages 12 to 18.
The Curry Cup will feature the top 28 boys and girls from the Underrated Tour as well as the European champions from a tournament earlier this year.
