The Bears beat Poly Prep, 3-0, to win the school’s first state title. They earned the Mid Atlantic Private School crown.
2. Plainedge (23-0) (2)

3. Massapequa (20-3-1) (3)
They are once again proving to be the class of AAA on Long Island. They swept a tough Oceanside squad in the AAA playoffs.
4. Connetquot (20-3) (6)
DJ Filippone is one of LI’s top two-way players. He commands the zone on the bump and he’s a clutch hitter. He pitched a gem in the T-Birds win over Commack to advance to the Class AAA final.
5. Eastport-South Manor (21-1) (7)
The Sharks outlasted East Islip in the winner’s bracket final of the Class AA, 4-3, in 13 innings. They edged Northport in the first round in nine innings — they know who to win close games.

The Cougars rallied from six runs down to an 11-8 win to eliminate Clarke in the Class AA playoffs.
7. Kings Park (19-2) (10)

8. Kellenberg (17-8) (NR)
The Firebirds are one win away from defending the CHSAA title. Richie LaVacca had two solo home runs and an RBI single in an 11-4 win over St. Dominic in Game 1 of the best of three title series.
