Newsday's top 100 girls soccer players for 2025
Newsday's annual look at the top high school girls soccer players on Long Island, listed in alphabetical order, heading into the season. All statistics are from last season, unless otherwise noted.
Alexa Addonizio, Calhoun, D, Sr.
Returning to her natural position at right back, the four-year varsity starter looks to dominate on that side of the field for Calhoun’s defense.
Emily Anderson, Connetquot, GK, Sr.
The Loyola commit made 93 saves and recorded seven shutouts. She will be the backbone of the defense and the leader they lean on.
Sophia Anisansel, South Side, F, Sr.
She has a natural feel for the game, has great vision and is dynamic on the field. She added two goals in Nassau’s top conference.

Julianne Arcoleo, West Islip, M, Sr.
The Columbia commit finished with 18 goals and one assist. She’s a dominant player who can take over a game with her speed, strength and determination.
Katelyn Baudo, Wantagh, D, Sr.
Named the Nassau Conference AB-I defensive player of the year, the senior was a key piece to Wantagh’s first county title in program history.
Layla Bloxon, Eastport-South Manor, D, Sr.
Bloxon is extremely strong and isn’t afraid to accept any challenge. The Southern Connecticut commit leads a backline that posted 11 shutouts.
Ava Bowers, Oceanside, F, Sr.
She totaled five goals and six assists. The senior is a dynamic player that can shoot from distance.
Leah Calderone, Syosset, F, Sr.
Her athleticism and strength makes her difficult to defend when she’s on the field. The senior totaled four goals and three assists.
Gabriella Caminiti, Mepham, M/F, Sr.
Coach Janine Bizelia praised her speed and athleticism. The senior had four goals and four assists.
Olivia Carbonaro, Island Trees, GK, Jr.
The junior saved 89% of shots she faced. She also added a goal and an assist with her powerful and accurate leg, serving as an asset on free kicks.
Leah Casolaro, Lynbrook, M/F, Sr.
The senior has started every game she has played in since she joined as an eighth grader. The University of South Carolina Aiken commit led the Owls in goals with 14 and added three assists.
Alexa Cergol, Mt. Sinai, F, Jr.
The junior captain finished had 15 goals and two assists, ranking 10th in Suffolk in goals.
Briana Ciccone, Garden City, D/M, Sr.
The Hofstra commit is a skilled and versatile defensive midfielder who can also play offense when the team needs it. She had a goal and five assists and will take on a larger offensive role for the defending Nassau Class AA champions.
Gia Cimino, St. John the Baptist, F, Sr.
The Adelphi commit had eight goals and five assists. The four-year starter is a powerful, high-energy player with a relentless motor.
Mia Claro, Kellenberg, M, Sr.
The Hofstra commit had eight goals and seven assists. The four-year starter is one of the most creative midfielders with her elite vision and distribution skills.
Monica Clavijo, North Babylon, M, Jr.
Clavijo is a dynamic talent with incredible foot skills and a strong shot with both feet. She finished with six goals and nine assists.
Kaylie Conklin, Seaford, F, Sr.
The four-year varsity player has the strength and speed to create for others and herself. She totaled nine goals and four assists.
Ally Cullingford, Seaford, M, Sr.
The five-year varsity player is returning from injury last season. The Stonehill commit is great in one-on-one opportunities and has a high motor.

Siena Cummo, Syosset, M, Sr.
The four-year starter is integral to all aspects of Syosset’s game plan, especially on the defensive side. She’s never afraid of marking top offensive players in Nassau’s top conference.
Francesca Curatolo, New Hyde Park, M/D, Sr.
The Loyola commit led New Hyde Park with six goals while also anchoring the back line.
Gianna Da Cunha, Eastport-South Manor, M, Sr.
The East Stroudsburg commit had 15 goals and seven assists. She will be the leader of the offense this season.
Laila Daly, Glenn, M, Sr.
The five-year varsity midfielder had seven goals and four assists, crucial to every aspect of the game for Glenn.
Julia DeGaetano, Wheatley, GK/M, Sr.
The Babson College commit is a natural goalkeeper but will also play the field when Wheatley needs her. She’s one of the most versatile players on Long Island with two goals, three assists, and 75 saves.
Ava DeMarco, Northport, F, Jr.
She had five goals and two assists with quality vision and a strong soccer IQ.
Sophie Denson, Commack, D, Sr.
She’s a four-year varsity standout whose defensive ability is unmatched. The Stevens commit combines speed, dominance in the air, and exceptional leadership to command the back line.

Krista Deutsch, East Islip, D, Sr.
The Wagner College commit is the commanding force of the team. She’s comfortable with the ball at her feet, and she is extremely good at winning battles and starting the offense.
Madison DiBartolo, Commack, M, Sr.
She’s a dynamic two-way player who has an exceptional ability to deliver precise passes and consistently rises to the occasion in the biggest moments. The Seton Hall commit finished with 10 goals and 11 assists.
Abby Dieumegard, Islip, M, Sr.
The four-year varsity starter had 11 assists, including two against Southampton and Port Jefferson.
Gianna DiSanti, Roslyn, M, Jr.
She had seven goals and three assists as the core of the Bulldogs. Coach Lauren Lopez credited DiSanti’s ability to make her teammates better.
Brooke Doreste, South Side, M, Sr.
The Marist commit has great vision and helps connect South Side’s offense and defense. She totaled three goals and four assists.
Julia Dromerhauser, Islip, D, Sr.
The tough, athletic defender is integral to an Islip backline that allowed multiple goals only three times in a 12-3 season.
Gianna Durler, Babylon, GK, Jr.
Durler made 89 saves and recorded 10 shutouts as an athletic keeper.

The Binghamton commit is a relentless two-way player who finished with seven goals and four assists.
LeeLee Gaffney, Garden City, M/F, Sr.
The standout multi-sport athlete had 10 goals and three assists for the Nassau Class AA champions.
Jesslene Garcia, Bellport, M, Sr.
The dynamic midfielder had five goals and four assists. She’s dangerous on the attack due to her technical skills and ability to make quick, effective decisions to create offense.
Maeve Gayer, Eastport-South Manor, GK, Sr.
Gayer is a five-year varsity starter. The Air Force commit had 86 saves and 11 shutouts.
Camryn Goodman, Sachem East, M, Sr.
The Stony Brook commit can play any position at the highest level. She had three goals and four assists.
Taylor Gordon, Manhasset, F, Sr.
She is looking to come back from a torn ACL and be the focal point of the offense. The Boston College lacrosse commit was a key contributor as a sophomore.
Abigail Gregory, Division F, Sr.
The senior has great footwork and uses her speed to beat the toughest of defenders. She had 12 goals and three assists.
Isabel Guerrero, North Shore, M, Sr.
She had nine assists as one of Long Island’s top creators, putting her teammates in strong positions for goals with her spot-on passes.
Maya Harrison, Sacred Heart, F, Jr.
The fast, athletic forward had four goals and five assists with an elite combination of being able to create for herself and others.
Hannah Hui, Great Neck South, M, Sr.
The senior had four goals and four assists before going down with an injury last season. She will be a leader for the Rebels.
Alexandra Justiniano, Ward Melville, M, Jr.
She was a strong presence in the midfield for the state Class AAA champions in a 20-0-1 season. Justiniano had two assists and is ready to take on a larger role after Ward Melville graduated a strong core.
Amelia Kalamaras, Carey, M, Jr.
The junior was fourth in the conference in goals with five and second in assists with four. She was the anchor of the Seahawks' defense and only allowed eight goals and had five shutouts.
Emma Karafantis, Bayport-Blue Point, D/M, Sr.
The Fairleigh Dickinson University commit is a natural defender and leader. She has great one-on-one abilities and helped the team earn seven shutouts.

Lindsey Keschner, Syosset, D, Sr.
She is great in one-on-one defensive situations and her soccer IQ makes her integral to Syosset’s defense.
Ava Kolb, Long Beach, F, Sr.
The senior battled injuries last season, but proved herself as a top playmaker earlier in her high school career with 10 assists as a freshman.
Erin Lily La Rosa, North Shore, F, Sr.
She had nine goals and four assists, often on the finishing side of Isabel Guerrero’s passes. They have one of the best connections on Long Island with La Rosa as a top finisher for the Nassau Class A runner-up.
Connor Leahy, Bayport-Blue Point, M/F, Sr.
The five-year varsity starter and Mercy College commit finished with 22 goals and three assists. She’s a natural forward and midfielder who’s nimble, creative, and confident on the ball.
Mia Leggio, Seaford, D, Sr.
The four-year starting defender has the size and strength to battle some of the top creators in Nassau. She’s the anchor of the Vikings' defense.

Aliya Leonard, Ward Melville, F, Jr.
The four-year varsity player finished with 12 goals and 11 assists. She has outstanding leadership and is an impact player on and off the field.
Jaymes Lind, Long Beach, M, Jr.
Coach Ashley Casatanio praised Lind’s never give up attitude saying, “Her talent and determination allows her to shine and stand out every time she is on the field.” She had four goals and an assist.
Caleigh Liu, Jericho, M/D, Sr.
She had five goals as an integral part of the Jayhawks at all ends of the field. Liu’s a strong passer with the ability to control the game at the middle of the action.
Maddie Maher, Comsewogue, M/D, Sr.
The Hartwick College commit had five goals and eight assists.
Mia Mangano, Shoreham-Wading River, F, Sr.
She finished with 18 goals and three assists. The Johnson & Wales University commit is a dynamic forward who combines her speed with exceptional ball control, making her a constant threat.
Sara Mangels, Longwood, D, Jr.
The three-year starter is the backbone to the Longwood defense and her track speed also gives her an advantage on the pitch. She has a sharp soccer IQ to frustrate opposing scorers.
Jaden Maze, Great Neck North, M, Sr.
She had 15 goals and seven assists as a dominant offensive force.
Siena McCree, Floral Park, GK, Sr.
The Pace commit had 170 saves and five penalty saves as she was named Nassau's goalkeeper of the year. She has great shot-stopping ability .
Lilly McInnes, Bayport-Blue Point, D, Sr.
The three-year starter is strong off the ball and a key in transition to move the ball from defense to offense. She added three goals and three assists.
Leah Mendolia, Bay Shore, M, Jr.
She had six goals and nine assists in her fourth varsity season. She is a powerful and explosive player with incredible technical and foot skills. Mendolia already has one of the toughest shots to stop in Suffolk.
Taylor Mileti, Hauppauge, GK, Sr.
The Buffalo commit enters her fifth varsity season and her athleticism has helped make her one of Suffolk’s top keepers. She had six shutouts, and even scored a goal when playing the field due to a finger injury.
Braylin Nelsen, St. Anthony’s, M, Jr.
She had six goals for the state CHSAA ‘AA’ champions. Nelsen was a key piece for the Friars as they won their third state title over the last four years. She has the versatility and skill to play multiple positions.

Michela Netto, Plainedge, D, Jr.
The Maryland commit is the anchor of Plainedge’s defense. Her all-around ability makes her a threat on the field. She even had three goals and an assist.
Ava Obloj, West Islip, F, Sr.
Obloj is a threat to score whenever she is on the field. Her speed and athleticism can expose defenses, and she’s able to finish in tight spaces.
Lily Onorato, St. Dominic, GK, Sr.
The four-year starter averaged 10 saves per game. The athletic keeper is committed to play at UConn.
Karyme Parada, Central Islip, D/M, Sr.
Her speed and overall foot skills separate her as one of Long Island’s best. She is committed to play at Queens College.
Marisa Patrissi, Garden City, GK, Sr.
The athletic goalkeeper had nine shutouts, and she made six saves in a 2-1 victory over South Side in the Nassau Class AA final.
Ysabelle Perillo, MacArthur, M/F, Sr.
Her versatility is the focal point for the Generals' offense and defense. Her speed and ball control allows easy transition goals. The Molloy commit had nine goals.

Olivia Pesso, Shoreham-Wading River, M, Sr.
Pesso uses her endurance, vision, and strong technical ability to orchestrate attacks from the midfield. She had two goals and eight assists.
Tatiana Pinto, St. Anthony’s, M/F, Jr.
She had five goals and three assists, including two goals in the Nassau-Suffolk CHSAA final a St. Anthony’s won its third state title in the last four years.
Gianna Recine, Farmingdale, M, Sr.
Recine’s versatility allows the Dalers to put her at any position. Her all-around play is the staple for Farmingdale’s play on the field.
Madison Reedy, Carle Place, F, Jr.
Reedy was one of the most dominant offensive players on Long Island with 15 goals and 17 assists in a 13-2-2 season. She had at least one point in 14 of 17 games.
Reese Reustle, Massapequa, GK, Sr.
The Stonehill commit is strong, quick and commands the box. She made 82 saves.
Caroline Roche, St. Anthony’s, M, Sr.
Coach Scott Carey called Roche one of the team’s most consistent players last year, integral to St. Anthony's winning its third state CHSAA title over the last four years. Roche is committed to play at Scranton.
Mia Rodríguez, MacArthur, M/F, Sr.
She had four goals and six assists, including four assists in the postseason. Rodríguez is committed to play at Susquehanna University.
Eloise Rubinstein, Port Washington, M, Jr.
She had 12 goals and six assists as one of the most talented players on the field despite often being one of the youngest players last fall. Her talent earned her an invitation to the U.S. Youth National Team U15 and U16 Training Camp as one of the most dynamic players on Long Island.

Addison Ruland, Patchogue-Medford, F, Sr.
Ruland led the team in scoring, finishing with eight goals and six assists. She is a quick, skillful player with a natural goal-scoring ability, and is a constant threat on the field.
Marisa Ruland, Sachem North, D, Sr.
The Molloy commit is a tough defender who doesn’t shy away from a tough matchup.
Isabella Sacco, Sacred Heart, F, Sr.
With great speed and strong technical skill, Sacco is a key piece for the Spartans. She’ll take on a larger role her senior year as well.
Natalie Samlihan, Floyd, M/D, Sr.
The five-year varsity player is a scrappy defender who uses her 5-10 size to her advantage to play physically and shut down an opposing attack. She’s integral on offense as well, scoring three goals, and is committed to play at SUNY Cortland.
Mia Savarese, Sachem North, D, Sr.
Savarese finished with five goals and three assists. She is committed to play at Mercer University.
Carly Schuler, Massapequa, M/F, Sr.
The St. John’s commit is looking to come back from injury and resume her role as the primary scorer for Massapequa. Schuler can attack and create in one-on-one situations.

She had seven goals and four assists as a strong technical player.
Olivia Shaw, St. Anthony’s, F, Jr.
She had seven goals and six assists for the state CHSAA ‘AA’ champions, including a goal and two assists in the state semifinals. The Stanford commit can win both in the air and at her feet with a powerful shot.
Claudia Sherman, Valley Stream North, D, Sr.
Sherman is the anchor of the Spartans' defense by providing consistency, toughness, and leadership.
Hailie Siegler, Bellmore JFK, D/F, Sr.
The Mercyhurst commit has a relentless drive to score with a discipline to stay poised on defense. She had three goals and one assist.
Payton Stalter, Lynbrook, D, Sr.
The five-year varsity starter anchors the Owls' defense, possessing a competitive poise while having elite speed and footwork to take the ball up the field.
Kaitlyn Tansey, Mepham, D, Sr.
The Davidson commit is a selfless player and has a polished game on and off the ball. She had six goals and nine assists.
Danika Tidridge, East Islip, M, Sr.
The Boston College commit had 13 goals and 13 assists. She’s a versatile player who can play and perform at any position.
Leah Tomeo, West Islip, F, Sr.
The Western Connecticut State University commit had four goals and three assists. She’s a skilled four-year varsity player who has an amazing scoring touch.
Joelle Trenka, Lindenhurst, M, Jr.
She had eight goals and six assists as an integral piece to everything Lindenhurst does on the field.
Olivia Trojanowski, Massapequa, F, Sr.
The Seton Hall commit is light on her feet and can beat any defender to score with either foot. The senior scored four goals.
Maiya Troll, Sayville, M, Jr.
Troll has excellent technical ability and is a true playmaker in the midfield. Her speed and agility allows her to take on any player in a one-on-one situation.
Nora Truncale, Glenn, GK, Sr.
The 5-10 goalkeeper had 117 saves, knowing how to use her height to her advantage. The four-year starter can patrol the entire net.
Shannon Udell, Wantagh, M/F, Sr.
Her high soccer IQ played an integral role in Wantagh’s county championship run. She totaled six goals and five assists.
Kalliopi Vangelatos, Hicksville, F, Sr.
The Queens College commit had seven goals.
Christina Vargas, Floral Park, M, Jr.
She has the ability to score from anywhere within 30 yards of the goal. The junior’s shot-making ability and ball control is crucial for the Knights' offense. She scored seven goals.
Finnley Wickard, Northport, M, Jr.
She had two goals and two assists with strong technical skills as a key member of both offensive and defensive transitions.

Allison Younghans, Plainedge, M, Jr.
Younghans' unselfish play allows her to control the middle of the field. The junior had five assists.
Ashley Zeifman, Wheatley, M, Jr.
She had six goals and seven assists as one of the most challenging players to stop when moving the ball in the middle of the field. She is an elite dribbler who can strike from long range.
