High school roundup: Baseball, softball and lacrosse

Mikaela Weinisch’s go-ahead single in the top of the seventh drove in Adrianna Napolitano in Comsewogue/Port Jefferson’s 4-3 victory over Northport in Suffolk II softball on Wednesday. Weinisch also made a diving stop with two runners on to secure the second out in the seventh. Maggie Burrell struck out nine and allowed three unearned runs for Comsewogue/Port Jefferson (5-1). Sierra Albano hit a two-run single for Northport (3-2).
Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 10, Farmingdale 6: Samantha Szypula struck out 11 over four innings and went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a walk and four runs scored to lead Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK (6-0) in Nassau II. Leyla Elkhatib and Emily Orth each went 2-for-3 with a home run. Keira Duffy went 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs for Farmingdale (0-4).
BASEBALL
Clarke 3, Bethpage 2: Vinny Juliano hit a two-out, two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning to give Clarke (5-1) the lead in Nassau AA-III. Juliano finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Richard Luke pitched a complete game and struck out 10. Charlie Ferrante pitched five innings for Bethpage (2-3).
GIRLS LACROSSE
Rocky Point 12, Babylon 10: Colbie Burke had four goals and three assists to lead Rocky Point (3-2) in Suffolk II. Cadence Adamo added three goals and two assists. Peyton Logue-Boyd had three goals and two assists and Makayla Blaising saved 12 shots for Babylon (2-3).
