Nusanti Delbridge’s driving layup with 5.2 seconds left completed the comeback for Deer Park boys basketball, lifting the Falcons to a 72-71 home win over Half Hollow Hills East in Suffolk III Wednesday. Deer Park (8-2) trailed by eight with 4:40 remaining. Delbridge finished with 23 points and Damien Scott added 18 points. Drew Delargy had 13 points. David O’Neal scored 20 points for Half Hollow Hills East (2-7). Christian Rossi scored 18 points and Tyreese Emmanuel had 14 for the RedHawks.

Floyd 58, Sachem East 44: Sharod Sutton Jr. had 23 points, five rebounds and seven assists to lead Floyd (8-1) in Suffolk I. JJ Smith added 18 points and Ja’Quan Thomas scored 11. Josh Boothe had 14 points and Derek Hansen had 11 for Sachem East (6-3).

Whitman 57, Longwood 52: Jeremy Shaik and Jason Thompson each scored 16 points to lead Whitman (6-2) in Suffolk I. Jack Bell added 15 points and Nick Dileo scored 10 while going 3-for-3 from the foul line. Khomari Wilson led Longwood (7-2) with 13 points.

East Islip 46, Centereach 41: Owen Madden made a three-point field goal with 15 seconds left to extend a one-point lead to four and put the game away for East Islip (3-6) in Suffolk III. Thomas Buchan had 20 points, 11 rebounds and three steals. Franklin Garcia Laguer added seven points in the second half. Lennie Carter led Centereach (1-8) with eight points.

Mt. Sinai 70, Wyandanch 51: Brian Vales had 42 points and 13 rebounds to lead Mt. Sinai (8-2) in Suffolk V. Andrew McNeely contributed 19 points and five assists while Hunter Seale added five rebounds and four assists. Josh Presmy led Wyandanch (0-6) with 18 points, Nyrell McCray Crosby had 15 and Tyrie Pinnock scored 11.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

New Hyde Park 66, Jericho 56: Maeve Downing scored 27 points and Kayden Erazo added 20 for New Hyde Park (7-4) in Nassau AA-I. Sonia Ngai led Jericho (9-2) with 18 points and Sadie Krangle added 15.

Sachem East 40, Floyd 39: Bridget Hansen knocked down one of two free throws with 12.8 seconds left in regulation to send it to overtime, where Olivia Barone scored six points to help lead Sachem East (4-6) in Suffolk I. Barone led all scorers with 12 points. Hansen finished with 10 points and 17 rebounds. Gabrielle Bell-Eleazer led Floyd (7-3) with 11 points.

Bay Shore 57, Brentwood 38: Kimora Pearson had 16 points and eight rebounds to lead Bay Shore (9-1) in Suffolk I. Leahlani Ellis and Nyah Isaac added 11 points apiece. Alivia Fuller and Ava Singleton each scored 10 points for Brentwood (4-5).

West Babylon 51, Smithtown East 38: Ava Dockery scored 23 points to lead West Babylon (5-4) in Suffolk III. Jaelynn Burgess added 10 points and Aura Liles had eight. Isabella Shapiro scored 14 points and Carolyn Brennan had seven for Smithtown East (6-4).

TUESDAY’S GAMES

Smithtown 38, North Babylon 2: Trishna Desai rolled a 279 in Game 2 of an 804 series to lead Smithtown (5-0) in Suffolk III. It marks the first 800 series in Smithtown girls bowling history, according to coach Glenn Roper. Abby Turney rolled a 201 in Game 2.
