Aiden Cromwell had five goals and two assists in St. Dominic’s 10-7 win over Monsignor Farrell in the boys lacrosse state CHSAA Class A championship on Friday.

Logan Bracco made 17 saves and Brian Medley had three goals and three assists. Michael Ford added three assists and Jonathan Catanzaro had a goal and an assist for St. Dominic (10-3).

BASEBALL

Port Washington 4, Syosset 3: Matt Sheps hit a walk-off double in the ninth inning in No. 5 Port Washington’s win over No. 3 Syosset in Game 1 of a Nassau Class AAA semifinal. Koki Maezawa hit a home run and allowed two earned runs with seven strikeouts over nine innings. Syosset (6-15-1) hosts Port Washington (11-11-1) in Game 2 at 11 a.m. on Saturday

Plainedge 5, North Shore 0: Plainedge’s Jaxson Torres went 2-for-3 with a home run at the plate. On the mound, he tossed a two-hitter with no walks and 14 strikeouts

in top-seeded Plainedge’s victory over No. 5 North Shore in Game 1 of a Nassau Class A semifinal. Rob Northrop scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the third inning on a wild pitch and Jayden Gaghan hit a two-run single in the fifth for Plainedge (23-0). North Shore (13-11) will host Game 2 at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Cold Spring Harbor 6, Carle Place 3: Jesse Silver allowed four hits and three runs in 6 2⁄3 innings and had a hit and two RBIs in No. 3 Cold Spring Harbor’s victory over No. 2 Carle Place in Game 3 of the Nassau Class B semifinals. Carter Henvey had three hits and scored two runs.

Cold Spring Harbor (13-9) faces Oyster Bay in a best-of-three final beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hofstra. Carle Place finished 16-6.

West Islip 6, Half Hollow Hills East 3: Connor Kenefick struck out 13, allowed three hits and three unearned runs in a complete game in No. 3 West Islip’s win over No. 7 Hills East in the second round of the Suffolk Class AA double elimination playoffs. Ben Delanoy had two RBIs. Anthony Azzariti and Brian Brower added anRBI. West Islip (19-3) faces the winner of top-seeded Eastport-South Manor/No. 5 East Islip in the semifinal at 10 a.m. on Monday.

Hills East (14-7) will visit No. 4 Hauppauge in an elimination game at 10 a.m. on Monday.

Hauppauge 4, Northport 3: Ethan Williams hit a go-ahead, two-out, two-run single in the sixth for No. 4 Hauppauge in its win over No. 9 Northport in a Suffolk Class AA elimination game. Williams caught a deep fly ball in centerfield and doubled a runner off second in the seventh to end the game. Kyle Magill went 2-for-3 with a walk for Hauppauge (15-8). Northport finished 11-10.

SOFTBALL

Northport 6, Half Hollow Hills 1: Shannon Gloeckner struck out seven and allowed no runs over five innings in No. 8 Northport’s win over No. 11 Half Hollow Hills in a Class AAA elimination game. Penelope Suarez allowed one run, one hit and struck out two in two innings of relief. Addison Acerra, Lily McCabe and Jillian Ryan each had two hits and an RBI. Northport (16-7) will visit No. 7 Comsewogue/Port Jefferson in an elimination game. Hills finished 11-10.

Kings Park 13, Glenn 4: Avery Van Schuyler went 3-for-3, with a home run and two RBIs in No. 2 Kings Park’s victory over No. 7 Glenn in the Suffolk Class A double elimination playoffs. Katherine Krayewski and Kaylee Myung each went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Lexi Hoffman went 2-for-4 with an RBI and struck out 12 in a complete game. Stella Allstadt and Madison Vega each went 2-for-4 for Glenn (9-12). Kings Park (16-3) will host No. 3 Islip in the second round at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Glenn will visit Bayport-Blue Point in an elimination game at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
