Matthew Hunt made the go-ahead layup with two seconds remaining to lead Valley Stream North over Floral Park, 50-48, in Nassau VI boys basketball on Tuesday. Hunt had eight points. Vincent Rienzie and Noah Obukwelu each had 13 points. Obukwelu added eight rebounds for Valley Stream North (11-5). Brendan Martin scored 32 points for Floral Park (16-2).

Whitman 68, Patchogue-Medford 47: Jack Bell scored 27 points to lead Whitman (15-4) in Suffolk I. Jeremy Shaikh added 10 points. Josh Evans scored seven of his nine points in the first quarter to help Whitman open a 20-7 lead. Aidan McDonald scored 14 points for Patchogue-Medford (3-16).

Sachem East 70, Central Islip 50: Jadice Sadler had 17 points, six rebounds and five assists to lead Sachem East (11-7) in Suffolk I. Brayden King had 16 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists and Josh Boothe added 15 points. Mitchell Lawson scored 12 points and Max Douglas had 10 points for Central Islip (2-17).

Bellport 55, East Islip 30: Amari Trent scored 20 points to lead Bellport (10-8) in Suffolk III. Julian Croke added 13 points and 10 rebounds and Jordan Simon had 12 points and eight rebounds. Tom Buchan led East Islip (4-15) with 12 points.

MONDAY’S GAMES

Glen Cove 49, Roosevelt 48: Mark Reeves scored 27 points and scored the go-ahead basket with 10 seconds left to lead Glen Cove (2-13) in Nassau IV. Jordan Robinson added 12 points as Glen Cove outscored Roosevelt 17-7 in the fourth quarter. Bryan Thomas scored 13 points, Donnell Thompson had 12 points and Jacob Hines added 11 points for Roosevelt (0-15).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

North Shore 55, Friends Academy 32: Annabella Misiti had 13 points and 12 rebounds and Erin Lily La Rosa had 13 points, 11 rebounds and three steals for North Shore (13-4) in Nassau A-II. Holly Freund added eight points, five assists and five steals. Maddy Mott scored 11 points for Friends Academy (7-10).

Floyd 62, Brentwood 51: Savannah Pantry had 22 points, 21 rebounds, three steals and two blocks to lead Floyd (16-3) in Suffolk I. Gabrielle Bell-Eleazer had nine points, three rebounds and three assists. Taleah Coppola had five points, four rebounds, four assists and six steals. Angelina Almonacy scored 19 points and Janessa Love added 17 points for Brentwood (6-13).

Copiague 54, Connetquot 42: Madison Mais scored 19 points to lead Copiague (14-3) in Suffolk II. Fredericka Cooper added 15 points and Janiya Morris had 14 points. Laila Folkes had 17 points for Connetquot (8-11).

West Babylon 45, Half Hollow Hills East 40: Ava Dockery scored 21 points for West Babylon (11-8) in Suffolk III. Jaelynn Burgess added 12 points. Marisa Dominic and Sydney Finkelstein each scored 13 points for Half Hollow Hills East (8-10).

Smithtown West 51, Centereach 47: Alyssa Lorefice had 19 points, five steals and five rebounds to lead Smithtown West (14-5) in Suffolk III. Catherine Piccininni added 13 points and Ashley Mennella had nine points and 10 rebounds. Madelyn Madrigal scored 19 points and Hayley Torres had 11 points for Centereach (13-6).

New Hyde Park 51, Long Beach 42: Maeve Downing had 25 points, 17 rebounds and five assists to lead New Hyde Park (11-6) in Nassau AA-I. Kayden Erazo had 12 points and Breanne Noguera added eight points and 11 rebounds. Brianna Brothel had 20 point for Long Beach (4-11).
