Thomas Vidro's bases-loaded walk lifts Oyster Bay baseball to Nassau Class B title

Thomas Vidro drew a walk with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 13th inning to score Chase Lordi and lead No. 1 Oyster Bay to an 8-7 win over No. 3 Cold Spring Harbor in the Nassau Class B baseball championship on Saturday at Hofstra University.

Trailing by one in the bottom of the seventh with two outs, Jack Gerbosi singled and drove in Anthony Scheidet to tie the score and force extra innings. Lordi pitched the last six innings in relief, giving up no runs.

Lordi, Vidro, Gerbosi, Chris Hall, Nick Von Bargen, Alex Karpavicius and Dean Cekovic all had multihit games.

Oyster Bay (19-5) will next face Center Moriches in the Long Island championship at 11 a.m. June 6 at Middle Country Athletic Complex. Cold Spring Harbor finished 14-11.
