McKayla Pollard had 15 kills and 17 digs to lead No. 1 Port Jefferson to a 25-14, 25-13, 25-13 win over No. 2 Greenport/ Southold in the Suffolk Class C girls volleyball championship on Monday at Southampton. Sara Puopolo had nine kills and 12 digs. Ava Reilly had four kills, 31 assists and 12 digs.

Port Jefferson (18-2) will face the Section I champion in the state subregionals at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at John Jay Cross River HS. Greenport/ Southold finished 7-7.

Garden City 3, Carey 0: Giuliana Pamatat had 10 aces, 34 assists and four digs to lead No. 1 Garden City to a 25-6, 25-4, 25-10 win over No. 8 Carey in the Nassau Class AA quarterfinals. Garden City (17-0) will face the winner of No. 4 Long Beach/No. 5 Manhasset in the semifinals at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Carle Place. Carey finished 3-15.

Chaminade 3, St. Anthony’s 2: Jack Dorsey scored two goals in the first half to lead top-seeded Chaminade over No. 2 St. Anthony’s in the NSCHSAA boys soccer championship game. Diego Abrego had two assists and Gianluca Falanga added a goal as the Flyers won their second straight league title.

Andrew Bridgemenhal and Jayden Crespi each scored a goal for St. Anthony’s, which finished 14-4-1. Chaminade (15-1-2) will play in the state semifinal on Sunday at St. John’s University.

St. Anthony’s 2, Kellenberg 1: Emily DeSousa and Lindsey Moy each scored a goal to lead No. 2 St. Anthony’s over No. 1 Kellenberg in the NSCHSAA championship game. St. Anthony’s (14-2-2) will face St. Francis Prep in the state semifinals at 4 p.m. on Sunday at Aviator Sports Complex. Kellenberg finished 13-2.
