Steve Matthews' Aqueduct selections for Saturday, Nov. 8
Best bet: THREE SIXTY (5)
Best value: STARS AND STRIDES (7)
FIRST: Sweetest Princess, overmatched last out, was a front-running winner two starts back; rebounds. Collect the Data owns speed and fast figures; dangerous. Midtown Lights is competitive on best efforts; don't ignore.
SECOND: Tunisian Spring fired crisp half-mile drill since determined win at Parx last time; more to come. Bergen drops and packs potent kick on "A" efforts. Cuando is speedy and should be aided by cutback to sprint.
THIRD: Stars and Stripes is fresh and logs fast late-pace figures. Disco Time, 4-for-4, is likely to attract the bulk of the cash; be no surprise. Crudo should move forward with return to dirt.
FOURTH: Scalable gets class relief and should take forward step in second start since nine-month absence. St. Benedicts Prep is fresh and training strongly; worth long look. Volleyballprincess owns a win and a second in two starts at the Big A; don't ignore.
FIFTH: Three Sixty, a useful fourth in debut, outworked 174 rivals in half-mile bullet on Nov. 2; primed. South Philly Slide was second in last two; another placing? Belarosa owns a second and a third from last two outings; logical contender.
SIXTH: Dreamlike made sustained rally to win last and owns faster back numbers. Re Markably owns sprinter's speed and could prove tough on a soft lead. Chileno is right in the thick of this on best efforts.
SEVENTH: Stars and Strides tallied fast late-pace figure when winning second straight last out; takes another. Noble Confessor was a sharp second in Grade 2 stakes last time; dangerous. Lazlo exits front-end score at Laurel last out; must be factored into the mix.
EIGHTH: Make a Prediction drilled twice since sharp third in last; makes forward step. Leave Me is from a dam that has produced two turf winners; follow the money. Kotlikoff is another that's bred to improve with switch to sod; worth long look.
NINTH: Ourdaydreaminggirl consistently tallies the field's fastest late-pace figures. Drexel Hill logged determined win in lone start at the Big A; very playable. Fully Subscribed was nearly nine lengths clear of third finisher when a game second in last; must consider.
10TH: Alluring Angel is riding a "healthy" line on the numbers; call in contentious nightcap. Grayosh was compromised by soft fractions when a wide fourth in last; dangerous. Amber Cascade regressed in last after game placing in prior two; very interesting. No Show Sammy Jo has the benefit of the rail; right in the thick of this.
