New York State COVID relief grants: See which Long Island small businesses received $111 million in funding

New York State’s marquee pandemic-relief program for businesses awarded $111 million in grants to nearly 4,600 on Long Island in 2021-22, according to a Newsday analysis of state data.
Most of the beneficiaries of the COVID-19 Pandemic Small Business Recovery Grant Program were the smallest businesses, employing 10 or fewer employees, based on the data from Empire State Development, which was obtained under the state's Freedom of Information Law.
Many of the businesses were owned by women and members of minority groups.
