If you didn’t score tickets to a FIFA World Cup 2026 game, you can still live a "semi-charmed" kind of life.
Officials announced multiple watch parties across Long Island ahead of the World Cup, which begins on June 11, including a live performance by rock band Third Eye Blind, who rocked the 1997 hit "Semi-Charmed Life."
"The World Cup is an opportunity to bring people together across communities, cultures and generations, and New York is making sure families across our state can be part of that experience," Gov. Kathy Hochul said in a news release on Wednesday.
On June 12, Stony Brook University will host a free 2026 World Cup watch experience at Kenneth P. LaValle Athletic Stadium, showing the Canada vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina match from Toronto at 3 p.m. and the USA vs. Paraguay match from Los Angeles, which kicks off at 9 p.m.
Award-winning musical group Third Eye Blind is set to perform at 8 p.m., ahead of the USA vs. Paraguay match. All tickets to attend the World Cup watch experience and see Third Eye Blind perform live are free and available while supplies last.
Fans can attend one or both watch parties at Stony Brook, where there will be interactive soccer programming, skills activities, face painting, World Cup-themed photo opportunities, sign-making stations, games, giveaways and activities featuring local organizations and state agencies throughout the day.

A free public viewing event for the June 19 USA vs. Australia game will be held at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre in Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman announced on Wednesday.
The match kicks off at 3 p.m. and the event will end at 6 p.m.
The free event will feature the match broadcast, along with giveaways, family-friendly activities, concessions and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for viewing on the theater grounds. Free parking will be available on-site.
To attend, fans must register for free tickets at TheIslandFC.com or at NassauCountyTourism.ticketspice.com.
The event marks the first official community event hosted by The Island FC as the club continues building toward its inaugural professional season.
UBS Arena will also host watch parties for the USA vs. Australia and the Brazil vs. Haiti matches, both on June 19. Tickets are available for purchase on Ticketmaster.
The World Cup will be played across 16 cities in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
