Mike DelGuidice and the Cans Band to close out Port Jeff concert season

The Port Jefferson Concert Series has picked a big shot to close out the village's summer concert series. Mike DelGuidice and Cans Band will play a free concert on the Port Jeff Ferry Dock on Thursday at 7 p.m.
The Incorporated Village of Port Jefferson and the Bridgeport & Port Jefferson Ferry Co. will host the concert, which was announced Wednesday. Past headliners of the final Port Jefferson Concert Series show have included The Count Basie Orchestra, Felix Cavaliere's Rascals, Ritchie Havens, Buckwheat Zydeco, Gato Barbieri and many more. Attendees should bring a lawn chair or blanket.
DelGuidice gained fame as a guitarist and vocalist with Billy Joel's band and has released three albums — "My Street," "Miller Place" and "Mask Production" — along with numerous singles. In addition to performing with The Cans Band, he is the creator of Live on the Porch, a Facebook Live show he started in 2017. In May he opened Mike DelGuidice's Live on the Porch, a live-music venue in Smithtown.
