One of Who's Who of rock royalty is about to make his Tilles Center debut.
Roger Daltrey, lead vocalist and co-founder of The Who, will play his first show at the Brookville concert venue on Oct. 2. Tickets for his "A Great Night Out" show went on sale Friday morning.
The Tilles show is a new addition — and the final stop — to his 21-city "A Great Night Out" tour, which begins Aug. 23 in Mesa, Arizona. The show will feature a mix of The Who's classics, including "I Can See for Miles," "Pinball Wizard" and "Won't Get Fooled Again," as well as solo hits like "After the Fire." Described in the announcement as "a deeply personal show," Daltrey will also share candid stories about his life and career.
Daltrey, 82, is a treat for fans following last year's "The Song Is Over" tour, which marked the final concert appearance for The Who. In March 2025, Daltrey also did a charity concert at London's Royal Albert Hall, where revealed that he was suffering from hearing and vision loss. "Fortunately, I still have my voice," he assured the crowd.
While Daltrey is only now getting around to playing the Tilles Center, he has performed many times before on Long Island with The Who. Among their memorable gigs were those at Commack's Long Island Arena in December 1967, where Pete Townshend smashed his blue Fender Stratocaster; multiple dates at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater, and a 2022 concert at UBS Arena in Elmont.
As a solo artist. Daltrey performed a solo show at Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale in 2011.
