Summer nights on Long Island are perfect for making memories. Now, they’re also a great time to save.

Several attractions across Nassau and Suffolk counties are offering discounted evening deals, from amusement park thrills and water rides to trampoline sessions and twilight tee times.

These deals offer families a chance to stay active, cool off and enjoy time together without spending a fortune. Here are five places where you can have fun after hours and not pay full price.

Adventureland

Adventureland recently launched a summer promotion called Sunset Savings, giving families a more affordable way to enjoy the park. Starting at 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through Aug. 21, admission drops to $27 per person, regardless of age. (Regular pricing is $39.50 and $29.50 for ages 2 to 24)

Tickets are only available at the gate and the discounted rate includes full access to all rides and amenities. Visitors can take a spin on the Moon Chaser coaster, fly through twists on the new Wave Twister, or cool off on the Little Dipper. For younger kids, there are many options such as the teacups, Ferris wheel and Caterpillar rides. The park also features classic games, indoor arcades and snack spots.

"We just thought it would be a nice way to offer a discounted ticket to people to come to the park and give them an opportunity to save a few dollars if they're looking for any discounted tickets to come and still be able to enjoy the park with all the amenities and features," says park manager Jeanine Gentile.

The evening start time wasn’t specifically chosen for sunset, Gentile says, but the view ended up inspiring the promotion’s name.

"The sunsets here are beautiful. You can enjoy the rides and catch the sunset while you’re here. It’s a great vibe in the evenings," she says.

The Adventure Park at Long Island

75 Colonial Springs Rd., Wheatley Heights

If you're up for an adrenaline rush in the trees, the park offers a nighttime discount called Last Call. These reduced-price tickets are $57, down from up to $79 and include two hours of climbing plus a 30-minute safety orientation, with access to all 14 trails. Start times vary depending on closing hours: on Thursdays and Fridays, Last Call begins at 6 p.m.; Sunday through Wednesday, it starts at 2 p.m. The offer is not available on Saturdays due to the park’s Glow in the Park event. It is recommended to book your visit online to ensure availability, says Candie Fisher, vice president of sales and marketing.

Trails range in difficulty and include rope bridges, zip lines and elevated obstacles among the trees. When the sun sets, climbers can navigate the courses under glowing string lights, adding a unique twist to the experience.

"It's a great way to try out the activity for a lower price and a shorter visit, as our regular ticket is three and a half hours," says Fisher. "And on nights where Last Call is later, like Thursday and Friday, you can get the experience of climbing at night with the trails lit up, which is a really cool atmosphere."
