Long Island continues to be one of the toughest markets for homebuyers in the country.
Median home prices rose to $849,000 in Nassau County and $720,000 in Suffolk in September, according to OneKey MLS. A year ago, prices in Nassau and Suffolk were $813,500 and $680,000, respectively, Newsday reported.
And according to national real estate data company PropertyShark, Sagaponack and Water Mill ranked among the top five most expensive ZIP codes to buy a home in the United States this year.
