The price of a single-family home on Long Island consistently breaks records. And prices for condominiums, generally thought to be good entry points to homeownership, are catching up.
In September, the median condo price in Nassau was $819,500, less than $30,000 shy of the $849,000 median price tag for single-family homes in the county, according to OneKey MLS. In Suffolk, the median price for a condo was $510,000, while single-family homes reached a median of $720,000, the multiple listing service reported.
