NEW FACES

The Giants upgraded the secondary this offseason adding CB Paulson Adebo and S Jevon Holland. They’ll get tested right away with Commanders’ All-Pro receiver and new WR Deebo Samuel, who could be used out of the backfield, too.

GET IN THE ZONE!

The Giants haven’t scored a touchdown in their last two season openers and lost both by a combined score of 68-6. New QB Russell Wilson will look to change that as he and WR Malik Nabers aim to prove their offseason chemistry was just a warmup.

AGENT CARTER

Abdul Carter has been hyped for his promise since being drafted this spring. Now, as tight end Theo Johnson said, the rookie linebacker is being let out of the stable for his debut. Eyes will focus on how Carter begins his quest to be the next great Giants pass rusher.

QUOTABLE

“I think he’s going to show everybody why we picked him that high [sixth overall, 2024 Draft]. He’s going to show all his athleticism, all his power moves and stuff like that.”

NUMBER, PLEASE

4: Giants wins against NFC East teams since Brian Daboll was hired in 2022 (he’s 4-13-1 overall). Three of those wins, however, are against the Commanders, including road wins in 2022 and 2023.
