Dylan Laube had a 95-yard kickoff return for the Raiders in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Jets at MetLife Stadium. It was the second career touchdown for the Westhampton product, who scored on a run last month against the Patriots.

It was the first kickoff returned for a touchdown in the NFL this season and the first by the Raiders since 2011.

Laube took the kickoff from the 5 and sprinted down the left sideline untouched for the score that gave the Raiders a 14-13 lead with 10:44 left in the second quarter.

Laube told Newsday earlier in the week that he was looking forward to his first NFL game at MetLife Stadium, where he often attended games with his father as Giants fans.

Laube was a co-winner of the Hansen Award as the top player in Suffolk County when he led Westhampton to an undefeated season in 2017. The player with whom he shared that award was also at the game on Sunday. Jeremy Ruckert of Lindenhurst is a tight end for the Jets.

Sunday was just the second time in history that two Hansen Award-winners faced each other in an NFL game. The only other time it happened was on Dec. 2, 1984, when Mike Tice was the starting tight end for the Seahawks and Chris Dieterich was a starting guard for the Lions.
