Chace Morris ran 17 times for 84 yards and two TDs, adding two catches for 33 yards, to lead No. 3 Oceanside to a 28-27 win over No. 2 Farmingdale in the Nassau Division I semifinal at Hofstra Friday night.
He also led the Sailors in tackles with nine. Jacob DiDio and Brady Nardone made eight tackles each along the edge, with the former notching a strip sack and the latter finishing with half a sack alongside Jack Grimaldi. Dylan Parker ran nine times for 51 yards and a TD. Shane Harmon completed 13 of 18 passes for 132 yards and connected with Jayden Bellone for an 8-yard TD.
Oceanside (8-2) will face No. 1 Massapequa again at Hofstra Friday at 4 p.m. for the Nassau Division I title. Nicholas Toto completed 11 of 15 passes for 222 yards and four TDs for Farmingdale (8-2). Mateo Morales caught four passes for 66 yards and a TD, and Jack Watrous had two receptions for 85 yards and a score.
Massapequa 42, Syosset 7: Luke Garguilo had seven carries for 92 yards and completed four passes for 74 yards and a touchdown to lead No. 1 Massapequa over No. 5 Syosset on Friday. Andrew Pedalino ran for 30 yards and two TDs. Anthony Dinello and Ryan Decker each added a TD run and Cole Villalta caught two passes for 36 yards and a score. Chris Bascetta made all six of his PATs for Massapequa (10-0).
Michael Mifsud ran for a 23-yard TD for Syosset, which finished 5-5.
DIVISION III
Garden City 48, East Meadow 0: Merit Ruckh ran for a 49-yard touchdown and caught a 29-yard TD pass from Brayden Robertiello to lead top-seeded Garden City over No. 4 East Meadow Saturday night. Robertiello added a rushing TD as the Trojans extended their state-record winning streak to 64 games. Anthony Asaro ran for a 70-yard score. Angelo Cupani, Gianluca Ingrassia and Jack LeSueur each added a rushing TD. Garden City picked up its fourth shutout of the season.
Garden City (10-0) will face the winner of No. 2 Mepham/No. 3 Long Beach in the final at noon on Saturday at Hofstra. East Meadow finished 6-4.
DIVISION IV
Plainedge 34, Cold Spring Harbor 0: Dylan Fella had 19 carries for 174 yards and five touchdowns to lead top-seeded Plainedge over No. 4 Cold Spring Harbor at Hofstra on Saturday. Dominic Agovino caught four passes for 116 yards and Jaxson Torres completed eight passes for 131 yards. Bobby Wescott had eight tackles, including two for loss. Jonny Cynar and Dimitris Vardamaskos each added six tackles. Plainedge (10-0) will face No. 2 Seaford in the final at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Hofstra.
Rex O’Connor completed 11 passes for 121 yards for Cold Spring Harbor, which finished 6-4.
