NASSAU I

Ryan Haft made the game-saving tackle at the 1-yard line on a two-point conversion to give host Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK a 27-26 win in double-overtime over Syosset in Nassau I Friday night. Jeremy Lasak ran eight times for 43 yards and caught two touchdown passes from Ethan Brake. Brake threw another TD pass to Vir Patel and added 12 carries for 50 yards and a score for Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK (1-1).

David Lieberman caught two touchdown passes from Ethan Dizon and Raghav Ghosh and Michael Mifsud each ran for a score for Syosset (0-2).

Hempstead 49, Herricks/Wheatley 28: Jonathan Davis caught three passes for 80 yards and two touchdowns and added two interceptions to lead host Hempstead (2-0). Lamarcus Parsons had 13 carries for 130 yards and two TDs and returned a kick 73 yards for a score. Seth Montgomery completed 10 of 16 passes for 192 yards and two TDs and added 51 rushing yards. Jayden Polite ran for two TDs and DeAngelo Leonard had an interception.

Gavin Dugger had kickoff return touchdowns of 87 and 83 yards and caught a 52-yard TD pass from Yianni Doulis for Herricks/Wheatley (1-1).

Massapequa 49, Westbury 0: Andrew Pedalino rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns to lead visiting Massapequa (2-0). Joe Brooks, Jayson Larosa, Dan Walsh and Ryan Decker all added a rushing TD. Luke Gargiulo threw a touchdown pass to Cole Villalta. Mike Ippilito had an interception and Chris Bascetta made all seven of his PATs.

Westbury is 0-2.

SATURDAY’S GAMES

Port Washington 36, Freeport 8: Harry Eynon completed 23 of 31 passes for 274 yards and five TDs to lead Port Washington (2-0) at Long Beach Middle School. Michael Asselta had three receptions for 29 yards and two TDs, Jimmy Gannon caught a 57-yard TD pass, and Levi Felix and Joe Fox each added a TD catch.

Jalen Brown ran for a TD and the two-point conversion for Freeport (0-2).

Hicksville 42, Uniondale 6: Jack Ferraro completed 12 of his 20 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns to lead host Hicksville (1-1). The win was Hicksville’s first since Oct. 21, 2023 against Valley Stream Central, breaking an 11-game losing streak. Marco Rodriguez had six catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Jake Wagner caught two passes for 74 yards and one TD. Erijah Britto made eight tackles, forced and recovered a fumble and broke up four passes.

Jaden Garland rushed for a 30-yard touchdown for Uniondale (0-2).

NASSAU II

Trevor Smith rushed for a 3-yard touchdown and James Galiano turned the corner and ran in the walk-off two-point conversion to lead host East Meadow to a 28-27 win in overtime over New Hyde Park in Nassau II on Friday night. Smith threw for 115 yards and two TDs and ran for 127 yards and two scores.

Nick Schwabe caught six passes for 107 yards and two TDs, the second of which cut East Meadow’s deficit to 20-18. Galiano then rushed for a two-point conversions to tie the score and ultimately send it to overtime. Schwabe also had an interception and Alexander Lengu had 13 tackles and a sack for East Meadow (2-0).

Lukas Rinaldi ran 22 times for 167 yards and three touchdowns for New Hyde Park (0-2).

Jericho 21, Valley Stream Central 20: Jake Morgan rushed for the tying touchdown and Max Spector made the winning PAT with 9:08 left for Jericho (2-0). Alex Mizrahi recovered a fumble in the game’s final minute to seal the victory. Morgan had 13 carries for 114 yards and a TD and added one reception for 16 yards. JP Wang had 17 carries for 71 yards and two scores and led the defense with seven tackles.

Evan Nelson ran for a touchdown and threw another to Gavin Ferdinand for Valley Stream Central (0-2).

Long Beach 41, Glen Cove 0: Brody Riedel had touchdown runs of 52 and 5 yards and Charlie Conway had two passing TDs to lead visiting Long Beach (1-1). Conway found Brody Juan for a 65-yard TD pass and Zack Silva added a 50-yard punt return TD. Max Schimmel had an interception and two fumble recoveries. Danny Corea and Jon Hayes each added an interception and Jeron Burns recovered a fumble. Glen Cove is 0-2.

SATURDAY’S GAMES

Garden City 56, Baldwin 7: Anthony Asaro had six carries for 119 yards and three touchdowns and caught a 64-yard TD pass to lead host Garden City (2-0). The Trojans extended their LI-record winning streak to 56 games.

Brayden Robertiello completed 6 of 10 passes for 119 yards and two scores. Merit Ruckh had a 43-yard TD run.

Michael Jordan ran for a 1-yard TD for Baldwin (1-1).

Bellmore JFK 34, Roslyn/Friends Academy 0: Anthony Scali ran for 177 yards and three touchdowns on six carries to lead host Bellmore JFK (1-1). Dylan Babek ran for 95 yards and completed three passes for 30 yards and a TD and John Mazzio ran for 42 yards and a TD. C.J. Siegler had seven tackles and a sack.. Roslyn/Friends Academy is 0-2.

NASSAU III

Chase Solliday had 16 carries for 141 yards and two touchdowns to lead host Bethpage to a 33-14 win over Manhasset in Nassau III football Saturday. Liam Farrell ran for 114 yards and a TD and Louis Schneider added 80 yards and a score as Bethpage (2-0) rushed for 400 yards. James Lipetri caught four passes for 101 yards and a TD and added an interception.

Marcus Davis caught a 32-yard TD pass from Cooper Harley and Philip Daitsis had a TD run for Manhasset (0-2).

Wantagh 35, Elmont 7: Luke Martini had 12 carries for 191 yards and four touchdowns and added an interception to lead visiting Wantagh (2-0) in Nassau III. Martini had touchdown runs of 23, 78, 40 and 5 yards. Joe Nicholson had eight carries for 135 yards, including a 40-yard TD run. Justin Reid ran for a 4-yard TD for Elmont (0-2).

Valley Stream North 28, Hewlett 12: Izaiah Hill rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns for visiting Valley Stream North (1-1). Aiden Munrow ran 10 times for 91 yards and a touchdown. AJ Strojan and Karim Waly each had seven tackles, three for a loss and a sack. Jon Hillsberg had a 25-yard pick-6 for Hewlett (1-1) and Dylan Parchment returned a kickoff 80 yards for a score.

Clarke 38, Mineola 6: Matt Kurz led visiting Clarke (1-1) with 117 passing yards and three touchdowns. Alex Frank had two TDs on two receptions. James Beckworth added six receptions for 69 yards. Liam Morgan and Michael Iadevaia each added a rushing TD. Alexis Ramirez caught a 10-yard TD pass from Dean Palmieri for Mineola (0-2.)

Carey 27, Floral Park 13: Justin DePietro rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries for host Carey (2-0). Tristan Hickis threw for 70 yards and a TD in his first start. Jaden Radow had three catches for 70 yards and a TD. Sal D’Amato made nine tackles, including a sack and had an interception. Christian Anaya had two sacks.

Justin Mallon had a 6-yard rushing touchdown and a 62-yard TD pass to Ryan Terwilliger for Floral Park (1-1).

Valley Stream South 28, Sewanhaka 6: Aidan Paris rushed 16 times for 120 yards and a TD and David Brooks added nine carries for 59 yards and a score for host Valley Stream South (1-1). Danny Casey had a 4-yard scoring run in the first quarter and followed it with a 52-yard passing touchdown to Peter Grief in the second quarter. Sherry Raza had six tackles. Lance Williams ran for a 1-yard TD for Sewanhaka (0-2).

FRIDAY’S GAME

South Side 45, Division 20: AJ Magaraci rushed for 209 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries for visiting South Side (2-0). Ethan Johnson rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Brendan Vetter and Owen Marigliano each caught a TD pass from Rob Cesario Jr. Lukas Papadopulous kicked a 44-yard field goal and made all six of his PATs.

Tim Stanley completed 22 of 30 passes for 285 yards and two touchdowns for Division (1-1). Isiah Charles caught four passes for 77 yards and a TD and added a rushing score.

NASSAU IV

Michael Potash rushed for 168 yards and four touchdowns on 12 carries to lead visiting Lynbrook to a 49-20 win over Carle Place in Nassau IV football Friday night.

Chase Samelson completed 7 of 12 passes for 156 yards, including a 65-yard TD pass to Brandon Scala. Samelson also rushed for 143 yards on eight carries and Paolo Palleschi added nine carries for 118 yards and two TDs. Jaden Nunez had two sacks for Lynbrook (3-0).

Ryan Leary had a 5-yard scoring run and kicked field goals of 32 and 35 yards for Carle Place (1-2).

Seaford 13, Locust Valley 7: Brian Hennessy caught a tying 23-yard scoring pass from Michael Spinella and Brian Falk ran in the winning 1-yard TD in the third quarter for visiting Seaford (3-0). Aidan Russo ran for a 59-yard TD for Locust Valley (1-2) in the second quarter.

Plainedge 43, Cold Spring Harbor 8: Jaxson Torres completed 5 of 7 passes for 64 yards and a TD and rushed for 91 yards on nine carries for visiting Plainedge (3-0). Dominic Agovino rushed for 78 yards and a TD and added a TD pass. Dimitris Vardamaskos rushed for 52 yards and a TD and Taylor Nitsch caught four passes for 69 yards and two TDs.

Hayden Ficara caught a 51-yard TD pass and the two-point conversion pass from Rex O’Connor for CSH (1-2).

SATURDAY’S GAMES

West Hempstead 21, Malverne 14: Jamir Houston rushed for 159 yards and two TDs on 10 carries and added nine tackles to lead visiting West Hempstead (1-2). Timmy Pendergast added a TD run. Dan Garcia had 14 tackles, Joe Suarez had three tackles for loss and two batted balls off the edge.

Jestin Teasley and Jayden Johnson each rushed for touchdowns for Malverne (1-2).

East Rockaway 49, Lawrence 19: Jethro Jaquet had 12 carries for 91 yards and two scores and Tristen Rose added six carries for 83 yards and two TDs to lead host East Rockaway (1-2). Michael Tizio, Dadley Desrosiers and Stefan Drakopoulos each added a TD run. Terry Hayes had two sacks and Rose added an interception.

Khalil Brassell ran for two touchdowns and added a TD pass for Lawrence (0-2).

Island Trees 34, Oyster Bay 13: Markus Bazelais rushed 18 times for 147 yards and two touchdowns and added a two-point conversion run to lead host Island Trees (2-1). Lukas Bazelais added five carries for 71 yards and a TD and Sean Navarrete threw two TD passes to Caden McCoy.

George Henry caught six passes for 52 yards and a touchdown and added a TD run for Oyster Bay (0-2). Owen Perfetti added three catches for 68 yards and Joe Henry completed 14 of 29 passes for 195 yards and a touchdown and added an interception. Chase Lordi and Chris Barbera each had seven tackles.
