NASSAU I
Ryan Rosenfeld caught a 21-yard touchdown pass from Ethan Dizon on the first possession of overtime as No. 5 Syosset defeated No. 4 Port Washington, 49-48, in the Nassau Conference I football quarterfinals Friday night.
Harry Eynon answered with an 8-yard TD run for Port Washington, but the Vikings’ two-point pass fell incomplete to give Syosset the win.
Michael Mifsud ran for three touchdowns and Rosenberg caught two TD passes from Dizon, who added a rushing score. Charles Wang blocked a punt and returned it for a TD.
Syosset (5-4) plays No. 1 Massapequa (9-0) at 4 p.m. on Friday at Hofstra in the semifinals.
Eynon threw for 281 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 11 yards and two TDs for Port Washington, which finished 5-4.
Eynon’s 14-yard TD pass to Jimmy Gannon in the fourth quarter tied the score at 42 as the Vikings erased a 42-21 deficit.
Teddy Behan, Joe Fox and John Mayou each added a TD catch for Port Washington.
Massapequa 35, Hempstead 20: Andrew Pedalino had five carries for 110 yards and two touchdowns to lead top-seeded Massapequa over visiting No. 8 Hempstead. Luke Garguilo ran for a 57-yard score and threw a 36-yard TD pass to Dylan Milio. Anthony Dinello returned a fumble 20 yards for a touchdown.
Lamarcus Parsons had 12 carries for 76 yards and a touchdown and caught a 12-yard TD pass for Hemsptead, which finished 3-6. Seth Montgomery threw two TD passes, including a 27-yard score to Amare Collins.
Oceanside 42, Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK 14: Chace Morris had 22 carries for 233 yards and five touchdowns to lead host No. 3 Oceanside over No. 6 Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK. Morris had TD runs of 24, 15, 3, 18 and 40 yards. Hudson Triscari caught a 17-yard TD pass from Shane Harmon and Ryan Pender made all six of his PATs.
Ryan Kasper caught a 9-yard TD pass from Ethan Brake for Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK, which finished 5-4.
Oceanside (7-2) plays No. 2 Farmingdale (8-1) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Hofstra in the semifinals.
Farmingdale 48, Freeport 12: Jovens Theodate rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns to lead host No. 2 Farmingdale over No. 7 Freeport. Nick Toto completed 8 of 14 passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Jack Watrous caught four passes for 62 yards. Cameron Mastrelli returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown, Mike Bilello blocked a punt and Mateo Morales had two sacks for Farmingdale (8-1).
Coach Buddy Krumenacker passed Don Snyder for the most wins in Farmingdale history with 238.
Glen Person III ran for a 17-yard touchdown and Charles Wapples caught a touchdown pass from Jalen Brown for Freeport, which finished 3-6.
NASSAU II
Brody Riedel had 20 carries for 125 yards and two touchdowns and added a 42-yard TD catch to lead host No. 3 Long Beach to a 32-21 win over No. 6 New Hyde Park in the Nassau Conference II football quarterfinals on Friday.
Charlie Conway completed six passes for 115 yards and two touchdowns, including a 14-yard TD pass to Jaron Burns. Zack Silva returned a punt 60 yards for a TD to give the Marines a 32-15 lead in the fourth quarter. Long Beach (7-2) will face No. 2 Mepham in the semifinals at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday at Hofstra.
Nick Boerum ran for two touchdowns and Eric Oberweiler made a 32-yard field goal and caught a TD pass from Chris Notine for New Hyde Park, which finished 3-6.
Mepham 17, Bellmore JFK 7: Lenny Achan had 17 carries for 115 yards and Jack Weber ran seven times for 48 yards and two touchdowns to lead No. 2 Mepham over visiting No. 7 Bellmore JFK. Mike Grizzard caught five passes for 88 yards. Paulie Genovese had 10 tackles and Weber added eight tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble for Mepham (8-1).
Christian Cruz had eight tackles, including one for a loss, and an interception and C.J. Siegler added 10 tackles for Bellmore JFK, which finished 5-4.
East Meadow 28, Calhoun 20: Trevor Smith had 15 carries for 127 yards and two touchdowns and James Galiano added 93 yards and a TD on 16 carries and a two-point conversion run to lead host No. 4 East Meadow over No. 5 Calhoun.
Marko Radalj returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown late in the third quarter to give the Jets a 28-14 lead.
Nick Schwabe and Kyle Francis each had an interception and Yiannis Kakavas recovered a fumble. Antonio Ribiero had 10 tackles and two sacks. East Meadow (6-3) will face No. 1 Garden City in the semifinals at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at Hofstra.
Brandon Meyers caught a touchdown pass from Timmy Lynch and threw a TD pass to Jake Belbol for Calhoun, which finished 6-3.
NASSAU III
Halfway through the third quarter, Colin Kenny blocked a punt, recovered it and caught a pass to set up No. 2 South Side on the 1-yard line for AJ Magaraci’s go-ahead TD in the Cyclones’ 9-6 win over No. 7 Elmont Friday in the quarterfinals of the Nassau Conference III playoffs. Kenny also blocked an extra point in the second quarter and finished with three sacks plus two catches for 18 yards. Magaraci had 11 carries for 60 yards and a TD. Connor McNulty completed 11 of 19 passes for 107 yards. Kieran Vetter caught four passes for 46 yards and Owen Marigliano caught four passes for 43 yards.
Aiden Barnes completed a 17-yard TD pass to Ryan Michel for Elmont, which finished its season with a 3-6 record. South Side (7-2) will face No. 3 Bethpage 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Hofstra in the semifinals.
SATURDAY’S GAMES
Bethpage 35, Floral Park 6: Chase Solliday rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries in No. 3 Bethpage’s home win over No. 6 Floral Park in the quarterfinals of the Nassau Class II playoffs. Sam Fornelius blocked a punt and recovered the ball to set up Solliday’s 7-yard TD run in the first quarter. Louis Schneider rushed for 91 yards and two TDs on nine carries. Liam Farrell added four carries for 74 yards. Vincent Morice ran 11 times for 49 yards and a score. Christian Edwards had an INT.
Justin Mallon ran for a 4-yard TD for Floral Park (6-3).
Carey 36, Valley Stream South 8: Tristan Hickis completed 8 of 10 passes for 174 yards and three touchdowns in No. 1 Carey’s win over No. 8 Valley Stream South in the quarterfinals of the Nassau Conference III playoffs. James McGrath caught three passes for 87 yards and three touchdowns. Justin DePietro rushed for 72 yards and two TDs on five carries.
Michael Thimonte ran for a 53-yard TD for Valley Stream South (5-4). Carey (7-2) will face No. 4 Wantagh at 2 p.m. at Hofstra next Sunday in the semifinals.
NASSAU IV
Chase Samelson ran for 194 yards and two touchdowns and threw a 10-yard scoring pass to Tim Odiah to lead host No. 3 Lynbrook to a 28-19 win over No. 6 Carle Place in the Nassau Conference IV football quarterfinals on Friday night.
Michael Potash added a 17-yard TD in the fourth quarter to give the Owls a two-score lead. Lynbrook (7-2) will face No. 2 Seaford in the semifinals on Saturday at Hofstra.
Joe Buffolino ran for 186 yards and a touchdown and threw a 20-yard scoring pass to Ryan Leary for Carle Place, which finished 6-3. Thomas Schoch added a 1-yard TD run.
Seaford 34, West Hempstead 6: Matthew Kind returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown and Brian Hennessy recovered a fumble in the end zone for a TD to lead host No. 2 Seaford over No. 7 West Hempstead. Brian Falk had 12 carries for 99 yards and two TDs and Michael Calvacca added a 21-yard TD run for Seaford (8-1).
Dandre Bailey ran for a 61-yard TD for West Hempstead, which finished 4-5.
Cold Spring Harbor 25, Locust Valley 14: Chase Cody had 25 carries for 150 yards and two touchdowns to lead No. 4 Cold Spring Harbor over No. 5 Locust Valley. Ben Stark kicked a 30-yd field goal to give the Seahawks a 17-14 lead in the third quarter. John Ficara caught a 63-yard TD pass from Rex O’Connor.
Cold Spring Harbor (6-3) will face No. 1 Plainedge in the semifinals on Saturday at Hofstra.
Aidan Russo ran for touchdowns of 6 and 5 yards for Locust Valley, which finished 4-5.
Plainedge 42, Malverne 0: Dylan Fella had 10 carries for 134 yards and three touchdowns and caught three passes for 86 yards and a TD to lead host No. 1 Plainedge over No. 8 Malverne.
Aidan Ryan completed all five of his passes for 124 yards and a TD and ran for 141 yards and a score. Dominic Agovino had three carries for 76 yards and Aiden Mulvey ran five times for 97 yards. Joe Manfre added a 1-yard TD run for Plainedge (9-0).
Malverne finished 3-6.
