PSAL football roundup: Another wild week of games

Fynn Chadwick went 6-for-10 for 122 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a TD, and Aiden Bailey carried 11 times for 120 yards and a score to lead Stuyvesant (3-1) to a 36-20 win over Truman in PSAL 3A Friday night. Isaac Sprung caught a 65-yard TD pass and made 12 tackles in the win. Ross Horne-Joseph passed for 219 yards and two touchdowns, adding 87 yards on the ground. Justin Beltre returned an interception 65 yards to the end zone in the fourth quarter.
Shavon Richardson had 96 yards and one touchdown receiving and ran for a score for Truman (1-4, 1-3). Janser Batista added two interceptions and Chamore Brown made six tackles in the loss.
Truman led 14-6 at halftime thanks to Horne-Joseph's TD passes of 40 and 12 yards, respectively, to Richardson and Ethan Roach, sandwiched around Chadwick's 7-yard scoring run. Stuyvesant pulled even in the third after Sprung made his touchdown reception and Chadwick ran for the two-point conversion. Bailey then gave Stuyvesant the lead for good by carrying for a 40-yard TD, followed by converting the 2-point try on the ground.
Sheepshead Bay 40, John Jay 0: M ichael Misla completed five of his seven passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns and Jayden Browne went 3-for-6 for 104 yards and one TD to lead Sheepshead Bay (5-0). Ahmed Cisse ran for 105 yards and a TD, and Jaycob Reid rushed for 62 yards and two scores in the win. Aaron Marrero had seven tackles and two sacks, and Amare Britt had five tackles and two sacks to power the Sharks' defense. Wade Evans added three tackles for a loss. John Jay fell to 1-3 overall.
PSAL 4A
Eagle Academy II 57, JFK 42: Martin Koppelman threw three touchdown passes to lead Eagle Academy II (3-0) in PSAL 4A. Zy'eare Schulters had two rushing TDs and added a 77-yard receiving TD. Tyler Grayson had a rushing TD and 53-yard punt return for a TD. Juvens Lindor added a 42-yard TD catch. Derik Betances had two rushing TDs and a 90-yard kickoff return for a score for JFK (0-3).
Lincoln 34, Brooklyn Tech 0: Christian Borhi completed 11 of 13 passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns to lead Lincoln (2-1). Labron Hicks had a 45-yard TD reception and added seven tackles. Altunde Alston had eight tackles and a sack. Chris Young and Mehki Negron each had a rushing TD.
Curtis 41, Port Richmond 7: Quadare Gomez rushed for touchdowns of 15, 7 and 3 yards to lead Curtis (3-0) in PSAL 4A. Will Andrade had a 12-yard rushing TD and added an 18-yard TD catch. Vincent Canzoneri threw a TD pass. AJ Zimmerman rushed for a 45-yard TD for Port Richmond (1-2).
Wagner 34, Fort Hamilton 14: Ali Toa Spencer threw for 191 yards and rushed for 130 yards and totaled two touchdowns to lead Wagner (2-1). Kaden Alejandro had seven carries for 85 yards. Sandro Patella had 117 receiving yards and nine tackles. Timmy Ojo had 10 tackles, Varfee Kamara had six tackles and a sack and Mo Hassan added eight tackles.
South Shore 48, Canarsie 6: George Adams completed 11 of 15 passes for 258 yards and five touchdowns to help South Shore reclaim the "Battle of the Floss" Trophy. Adrian Antoine had two catches for 94 yards and a score. Trevor Smith had four tackles, including two for loss and a sack. Peter Jean-Baptiste collected two sacks for South Shore (2-1).
New Dorp 38, DeWitt Clinton 20: Roman Siniscalchi rushed for three touchdowns to lead New Dorp (1-2). Cary Peterson had a 6-yard rushing TD. Joshua Upegui threw two scoring passes for DeWitt Clinton (0-3).
PSAL 1A
Petrides 26, Adlai Stevenson 0: Josh Okwuabueze took 12 carries for 89 yards and two touchdowns, including a 44-yard score, for Petrides (2-0) in PSAL 1A. David Lee completed 8 of 11 passes for 154 yards and two TDs. Mike Giordano caught a 34-yard TD pass and Jaiden Brown had a 29-yard TD catch. Giordano had four catches for 88 yards.
Alfred E. Smith 21, Frederick Douglass Academy 20: Arthur Ray had 130 all-purpose yards, a receiving touchdown and a kickoff return TD to lead Alfred E. Smith (2-0). He added five tackles and a sack. Ricky Aviles threw two scoring passes and Jeremiah Penzo added a TD catch. Nicolas Bello threw threeTD passes — two to Cristian Rodriguez and one to Will Wilkins — and Ky-Mani Haughton rushed for a two-point conversion for Frederick Douglass (0-2).
Long Island City 22, Tilden 0: Armani Johnson and John Grau Jr. each rushed for a touchdown for Long Island City (1-1). Tim Hernandez threw a TD pass to Johnson and followed it up with a trick play as Hernandez caught the two-point conversion pass from Grau.
Mott Haven 38, A-Tech 8: Rudolf Akumani completed 5 of 10 passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for two TDs for Mott Haven (3-0). Jordan Bennett and Alex Aquino Guity each had a TD catch.
Grady 38, George Washington 0: Brian de Campos Cohen threw for 113 yards and a touchdown to lead Grady (2-0). Joseph Watson rushed for 100 yards and a TD on 14 carries. Vishon Garcia Jr. caught four passes for 67 yards and a TD. Allan Acosta had five tackles and Alexander Loria had three tackles.
East Harlem 38, Evander Childs 6: Asher Lipman completed all eight of his passes for 101 yards and three touchdowns for East Harlem (1-1). Tre Harris rushed four times for 50 yards and a TD. Cash Tolliver, Cody Arevalo and Hubert Foreman each caught a TD pass.
